The article Slow living has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable movement with no significant secondary coverage instead all publications and sources are self published from within the movement

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sadads (talk) 09:16, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you have any questions about the nomination for deletion or if you would like to WP:Userfy the article for future improvement, please contact me here or on my talk page, Sadads (talk) 09:16, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Slow living

[edit]
  • The information you have added back - which I have re-removed - was unreferenced and unencyclopedic. The external links serve nothing but to promote certain 'slow living' organisations - so they have also been removed. Is this topic even notable? GiantSnowman 18:29, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, GiantSnowman. I do think this is a notable topic. And while I see that you want references, by taking out so much the page now says very little about the concept. Perhaps there is a compromise here. Do you only want quoted sources? If so, I am willing to look around for some. With a quick search, I did find the references below. They may lead to something useful. I have also had this discussion with another editor who thought it wasn't a significant topic, but after sending him several links he agreed that it was. I guess this is the nature of Wikipedia. Give me a sense of what you'd like to see, and I'll see what I can do.

There is a book with the title "Slow Living": http://www.bloomsbury.com/us/slow-living-9781845201609/
The Guardian has an article: http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2009/apr/15/go-slow-movement-health-wellbeing
The Huffington Post has several articles that are tagged or mention "slow living".

Sounds good. It may take awhile, but I'll see what I can do. Snailwiki (talk) 15:42, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Slow living for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Slow living is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Slow living until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Guy (Help!) 19:25, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help,Robert McClenon. I admit that I found the instructions confusing for creating the article, so thanks again for clearing that up. I just now tried to follow your instructions for requesting deletion of the draft page, but the link redirected me to the non-Draft page (where I mistakenly tried it there. I think I corrected that!). I'll just leave it all alone at this point and let those who are better versed in Wiki editing handle things. Snailwiki (talk) 20:11, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
