@Christroutman:

Thank you Chris, I added citations for notability. Multiple articles from different sources are available. SneaselxLv94 16:18, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

UIL

[edit]

I'm watching your sandbox. This issue is notability. If you attempt another list, not only will I nominate that for deletion, I might drag you to a drama board per WP:TEND. I'd be glad to discuss. Chris Troutman (talk) 16:26, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Christroutman:

I believe you are not well versed in Athletics, particularly Track and field. Some of the names on that list are of very notable athletes who represented the United States. Those are records that have been recorded and are referenced by multiple news outlets. As for the notability of the article, it speaks for itself. No other state compares to Texas and California when talking Track and field. See Which State Produced Most Olympians and Best State for HS Track Relative to Size and Best High School Track and Field Resides in California & Texas. There currently is no list like the one I produced. And as I have no affiliation with the UIL, I believe I should be the one to write said article.
Feel free to look at my sandbox. The ref's are not quite finished as I have a Latex Bib on my computer that hosts the correct form. As for the current article, I goofed and it was created. However, I intend to finish the correct version soon. You can waste your time looking, but I am confident I will have written an article of integrity in the end. An article that belongs on Wikipedia.
SneaselxLv94 02:06, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
Be advised, the article has been deleted via discussion, so any re-creation can be speedily-deleted without discussion; it would be automatic. All your hours of work gone in just minutes, and you could be blocked, too. Your assertions about what you think are notable because you know something about sports show how clueless you are regarding Wikipedia. "As for the notability of the article, it speaks for itself." No it doesn't. I just proved that with the AfD. You may think that's crazy but nobody here cares about track and the editors who have rendered a decision don't have to know anything about track. "There currently is no list like the one I produced." Then go submit a manuscript to a running magazine or some such. Wikipedia is not a webhost. "I am confident I will have written an article of integrity in the end. An article that belongs on Wikipedia." Please do not run headlong into this or you'll just end up blocked. Leave your sandbox entry where it is and admire your work from there. Finally, that's not how pings work. Please change your site preferences to warn you of broken pings. WHO essential medicines

[edit]

Hi SneaselxLv94. Regarding your removal of "the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system" from multiple articles: I've been considering removing that material as well. However, it's related to a number of long-running disputes that have resulted in an Arbitration request that is now closed for community discussion (Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Medicine). There are over 400 articles with the exact same content, and I'm not sure if it has ever been discussed. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 16:55, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your interest. I was not aware of the Arbitration about the topic. I came across the issue a month ago and posted about it on the list's talk page. It was one person who added the phrase to every medicine on the list. After no real objection on the Talk page, I decided to begin removing it. My problem is going through the list one by one. I have tried looking for a more "automatic process" but to no avail. Just knocking it out one medicine at a time, whenever I have the time. The phrase violates WP:CITESPAM. It should not be included every time the medicine is mentioned as being a part of the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines.SneaselxLv94 (talk) 17:05, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you discussed it and the discussion went smoothly.
One of the areas already identified for discussion (Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Medicine#Areas_where_clarification_and_further_discussion_may_be_needed are better guidelines for what to include in the lead section of medical articles. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 20:29, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Expertly trained to deliver high quality care"

[edit]

Hi, phrases like the above are far too promotional to be included in an encyclopedia, and would have qualified the article for speedy deletion as an advertisement. We just summarize what reliable independent sources say about subjects. Other than that, the cited sources in Airrosti appeared to be (at least partially) promo pieces that wouldn't clearly demonstrate notability. – Thjarkur (talk) 21:09, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The creator of Chelsea Rustad started an ANI discussion involving you and neglected to notify you, so I've done it instead. Also, just so you know, since they removed the WP:PROD notice from the article, it should be sent to WP:AFD instead of having the PROD re-added. clpo13(talk) 03:30, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rick Winters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://thebothsidenews.com/rick-charls-made-his-record-breaking-dive-in-1984-of-176-ft-at-sea-world-san-diego-by. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Grey Pneumatic Corporation moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Grey Pneumatic Corporation. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. voorts (talk/contributions) 04:21, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article UNiDAYS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems non-notable; internet company stub.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:28, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
