RfA
[edit]Sounds like a cool system. You really have the edge for those beat-the-nom supports (or opposes)! Thanks for your support. Jafeluv (talk) 20:24, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry about that. I thought that. I thought that some other editor did that. Well I don't think that he might ever run again. In some ways, I pity him. In other ways, I could care less for his vandalism. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 20:43, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Trick question
[edit]I think it's a damn shame that these decisions are based on trick questions. I took on the questions honestly and openly and I'm being decimated. J04n(talk page) 01:51, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry that I snapped at you, and thanks for the comments. J04n(talk page) 18:32, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, I agree with what you said about scenarios. It would be a much better measuring stick on how someone would react, plus it shows that someone knows how to use the rules as apposed to just spitting them out. Oh well, I'll get over it. J04n(talk page) 20:02, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Thank You
[edit]Thank you for all of your comments on the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding my Rollback rights. I really appreciate it. Regards.--David | Talk 18:22, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I was recently updating the preferences of the user at their request, and I subsequently had my user page open. This then cause his information to be copied onto mine. I didn't even notice until now that mistake, and I promptly fixed it. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 04:04, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Saaranpaskantamasaari
[edit]Re. Saaranpaskantamasaari, I exchanged emails with Helinä Uusitalo, NimiarkistoKotimaisten kielten tutkimuskeskus, Vuorikatu 24, 00100 Helsinki - and checked the etymology with their reliable source; thus, I updated the page. Cheers, Chzz ► 03:50, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please ignore my request to change my username. Is it possible to delete my "contributions" links that show my request and my real name along with them? Thanks! Gringocarioca (talk) 23:16, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
OK. Thanks again! Gringocarioca (talk) 23:25, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Re:AN/I glitches
[edit]It's alright, it wasn't my edit you accidentally removed. I don't understand edit conflicts, I remember the first time it happened to me on an AFD I went ballistic and accused an editor of trying to hide my votes. XD I was a different person back then... [edit]Yes, I believe generally a Chinese surname has the same meaning as the character that spells it(but most don't have meanings, like Liu, Liao. Some, like Sima, have meanings.Teeninvestor (talk) 20:56, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Soap, thanks for the notice. At first I wasn't too sure, but I decided to read about what adminship would entail, and I've been inspired now to run. Thanks! Bob the Wikipedian (talk • contribs) 03:18, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Thank you!
[edit]Hi Soap,
I would like to thank you for doing that action of closing my RfA down - much appreciated. It has deeply hurt me that some people towards the end resorted to foulness. It has 100% discouraged me from ever wanting to participate in any form of Wikipedia action again. It is people like that who are scaring off users from ever wanting to become Admins, or even wanting to contribute to anything on Wikiepedia itself. I sincerely hope that a full investigation into this is taken seriously, otherwise nobody will ever want to be apart of the projects. It is sadly distressing - but this needs to be pointed out and addressed urgently. I read some guildlines about what to say in RfA comments, and it was encouraging people to stay positive, and avoid negative feedback - in my case, this doesn't seem to have been the case. I kept things as polite as could be, until things started to get too personal, and then I was at the stage of just ending everything (including life). People need to be more cautious when posting feedback, and think before they speak. I wish you all the best of health for the future, and do not in any way blame you for what has happened. My most gracious of thanks to you - Gareth aka Pr3st0n (talk) 01:22, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
