Ragin Cajun articles

Please explain why you have vandalized the Ragin Cajun pages. I have posted the reason that this is considered vandalism on the main page's 'talk' page, but will also direct it to you:

"This is beyond absurd: despite the fact that a compromise has been reached on this issue, a couple of people still feel the need to vandalize these pages.

As per below, the compromise that was agreed to (over a year ago) was that leaving in 'often referred' Is the solution:

"I agree 100% with Billcasey905. I'm fine with it saying that it is often referred to **insert name** with the source that is given, that's why I didn't revert Pncomeaux's edits. Until the other nicknames become a common name, it should stay as is. Corkythehornetfan 19:47, 27 May 2015 (UTC)"

Yet people continue to wreak havoc with the pages.

It must be noted that the school's legal, acceptable nickname of 'Louisusana Ragin Cajuns' can in NO WAY be considered to be "misleading propaganda."

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges.

This is in relation to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette athletic articles. Please discuss on the talk page before reverting any further. If you do continue, without discussing it first, you may be blocked from editing. Corkythehornetfan 21:00, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

I discussed the issue on the main talk page before reverting the misleading propaganda by pncomeaux. I don't know how consensus could be reached on something as egregiously false as the inaccurate propaganda pncomeaux is unilaterally inserting into every ULL related article. Untrue edits like pncomeaux is making should be immediately reverted. The reference does not support the claim that the "Louisiana" name is often used because it's not used by independent reliable sources. The source is simply a link to ULL's branding page. Like I said, I think the best solution is to immediately revert pncomeaux's edits and add a section to the main article with an unbiased explanation of the name controversy. We seek WP:CONSENSUS here, so you will need a consensus to remove it or add the section. We have a guideline that's called "WP:BRD", more commonly referred to as "Bold, Revert, Discuss". You were bold, the other user reverted, so now you discuss until a consensus is made. After the consensus is made, then you can edit whatever the outcome is. Until then, don't remove the wording. The current discussion was taken part here by several editors. The way it is said now "often referred to by the nickname Louisiana or Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns" is common among Wikipedia articles. The article name may not be used by the school itself, but it used by the media. Therefore, to make everyone happy, we use both names. It would probably be better if it is worded "branded as..." instead of its current wording. Corkythehornetfan 23:09, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
