Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.
Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

Rice tea
[edit]Please tell me the revised romanization name of the tea made from roasted brown rice (I'm actually drinking some now, homemade). I'd like to make an article for this, equivalent to the boricha and oksusu cha articles. Badagnani 01:51, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Is it "hyeon mi cha"? Badagnani 02:06, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think it is correct and I created the hyeonmi cha article page. Please make necessary change to it :) Stevefis 04:56, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh it's hyeonmi cha
Great work. Are you able to take photos of Korean cuisine things? There are some things like this that we need. If you ever get into Jeolla, we need Hwangpomuk too. Badagnani 05:03, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- You don't have go to Jeolla to eat Hwangpomuk. In Seoul, you can find plenty of regional restaurants anyway. But I'm studying in Houston right now that I don't have much opportunities to visit Korean restaurants. (I don't have a car yet T.T) But I can take pictures of food whenever I make one myself Stevefis 05:13, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
That's good to know. But you'll never find hwangpomuk in Houston! It's even hard to find any kind of muk other than nokdumuk in America. Badagnani 05:21, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
First of all, to make it, you better have really good rice. I buy "short grain brown rice" at my natural foods store. It has short, very fat grains like this. When you toast it in the pot they'll start to jump and spin and a few will pop. Keep agitating the pot or stirring that rice so it doesn't blacken. Once it's a little brown (like very light chocolate brown), it's ready. Your description of how to do it seems good. Actually, it's so simple and delicious. Badagnani 05:05, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Hoe
[edit]Regarding the heodeopbap, I didn't know why the previous editor who added about noodles and stew and other things did that, if it's not a possibility. That's why I re-added it, because I couldn't understand why someone would write that in the first place if it weren't true. (I hadn't heard of those versions either, by the way.) Badagnani 01:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's alright. I think I have misunderstood you. Next time, I'll be more careful about criticizing mistake. :) Stevefis 04:57, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

astros article
[edit]hey Stevefis were you talking about the "rainbow guts" article or the Astros article? I have been redoing the Astros article and I think it is too long. But there is a lot of good info! Maybe I can trim it some. Mickeyp--Mickey 15:19, 24 October 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mickeyp2814 (talk • contribs)
Notability of Wold (Band)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Wold (Band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Truthanado (talk) 02:01, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Revision history of Spice and Wolf
[edit]Please do the explanation that erases a Japanese color from a Japanese work. Katakana (ホロ) is an origin, and English is a derivation. The spelling is valueless in the novel on a Japanese version that is the original.(60.39.40.104 (talk) 13:05, 19 November 2008 (UTC)).
- Please create a wikipedia account first. I don't really like having discussion with an ip address. Stevefis (talk) 15:34, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Hamster is Hamu(ハム)(Example ハム太郎 Hamtaro)
Usagi(Rabbit) is Usa(ウサ)
horokeu(Wolf) is horo(ホロ)
Shaman King Character is Horohoro (Horohoro name comes from the Japanese(Ainu) word for "Wolf".)
Please think about things by the common sense of Japan. Please stop erasing a Japanese color from the work of Japan.(60.33.34.34 (talk) 04:07, 21 November 2008 (UTC))
