A tag has been placed on SJB's Shop (EBAY), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Davidprior18:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. It's really not all that useful to write "probability distribution" with only the second word in brackets, because the page titled distribution is not about probability distributions, but rather is a disambiguation page linking to many things having nothing to do with probability. Indecomposable distribution already has a very conspicuous link in the first sentence to probability distribution. It's also not clear why you wait until about the fifth or sixth occurrence of the phrase "probability distribution" to put in a link. Michael Hardy01:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for applying for VandalProof!(VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under mainhere). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof.Daniel Bryant22:13, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Northumbria Flying School with a link to where we can find that note.
If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Northumbria Flying School.
Just because I know you in real life I cannot ignore the rules, your comments on my user talk page could be seen as violating WP:NPA. The pricing section is a copyright violation of here and could be seen as WP:SPAM and the staff section is a copyright violation of here. Even if you did not copy and paste then it has clearly been re-typed in exactly the same words and making it appear like a copyright violation. Tellyaddict19:07, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I thought user pages were only supposed to be blocked if chosen in bad faith (Hey I'm new at this and it's a username I use in many places for many reasons). Do I at least get a chance to find out what was so offensive? It might help me to find a better username? Legoogle22:17, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
...assume good faith and don't bite the newcomers?
I do not think you are familiar with WP:USERNAME, you left a comment on the user talk page of Ford45 saying that it was inappropriate, Ford does not always refer to the car manufacturer and is a common second name, as well as this please place {{Username-Warn}} on the user talk page if you think a username is a violation, adding a template saying the username is blocked should only be added by admins or if you ask permission of the blocking admin if he/she does not have time, Ford45 is not blocked. You may have been seen as impersonating a sysop which is prohibited on Wikipedia. Please remember not to bite the newcomers and [{WP:AGF|assume good faith]] as mentioned by another user above. Anyway I thought I'd better make you aware of this. Happy editing! Tellyaddict12:11, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Slicer, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Thanks for uploading Image:Negative0-35-35(1) jpg-2-.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot04:18, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You recently undid revision 130757783 "fixing article to remove unsourced housemates" by DrunkenMonkey to the article Big Brother 2007 (UK). You did not include an adequate explanation for this edit in your edit summary. In the future, please use edit summaries, and also could you provide an explanation now? --Random83211:47, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Our assesment drive starts tomorrow. Thanks to LaughingVulcan and themcman1talk for setting it up. There is a new template for this, so make sure you see the drive page, or see further down for more info.
Our first newsletter is out! (Although you probably already realised!)
Our assessment drive is to evaluate the 170 articles recently tagged, but with two or more wikipedians commenting and reaching a consensus on the article class and importance, and what to do to improve the article.
Help out! Awards will also be given out for how many articles you help with.
Hi there! It's nice to be contributing back here in Wikipedia (hopefully for good, this time around!)... Anyhow, I have added a new list of nominations in our Fishing Portal Nomination Page, if you have time to add your vote or make a new nomination list please do not hesitate to visit the page. Thanks! Fishing Project Member: I'd like to bring to your attention that the article Annotated Bibliography of Fly Fishing has been nominated for deletion. I believe this article is useful and should stay a part of Wikipedia. There are literally dozens of bibliographies in Wikipedia and I see no reason this particular one should be deleted. As a member of the fishing project I would hope you do as well. Please weigh in on the debate at: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Annotated Bibliography of Fly Fishing Thanks: --Mike Cline (talk) 12:52, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to French fries, did not appear to be constructive and has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You have been blocked for a period of one week for sockpuppetry. To contest this block, please reply here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} along with the reason you believe the block is unjustified, or email the blocking administrator. For alternative methods to appeal, see Wikipedia:Appealing a block. Daniel Case (talk) 13:33, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
