Hi Sworkman. I am responding to your inquiry about the deleted page Cheryl and Henry Kloppenburg Award for Literary Excellence. First, I notice from your remarks on my talk page that you appear to have a connection or be employed by the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild. If this is so, you have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

There's a couple of options for the deleted article. The first is for the copyright holder to release the material to Wikipedia under license. If they wish to do this, please see the instructions at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. There's a sample permission email at WP:consent. The second alternative is to re-write the content in your own words rather than copying from the organization's website. Regardless, the subject of the article likely fails our notability requirements, wherein we require in-depth coverage of the subject in independent sources before we would consider an article. — Diannaa (talk) 20:08, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
