Using Wikipedia for promotion

Hello, I'm Ponyo. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Wikipedia is not a place for articles about things you hope will someday become notable. It is a place for articles about subjects which have already become notable, as evidenced by substantive coverage in reliable sources. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:10, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notable to you isn't the same as notable to people in my community. Just cuz it isn't on cnn or tv all over the gloabe doesn't mean it isn't notable to some people. Then where are the references to articles in newspapers, magazines, journals, books, etc.? Our definition of notability is quite clear, and "it got mentioned in a blog I like (that you probably never heard of)" does not meet that definition. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:39, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
