RE: I need Urgent Help

[edit]

Ok man. You are pretty lucky I was online at the moment. But I can higly recommend you to imrove it. With sources...--Lykantrop (Talk) 14:52, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where's Crowz???--Lykantrop (Talk) 12:25, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crowz

[edit]

May I just say that the article on Crowz has been deleted 3 times!! It has been removed due to verifiability and please do not post any information unless you have REALIABLE SOURCES. Lastly I would just like to welcome you to Slipknot WikiProject, but please unless you have a better source than a Slipknot fan site, you cannot post about Crowz. My personal views on the asubject are that yes they were working on more material and they may well have planned to release another product by themselves and they got signed and released Slipknot. Rezter TALK 17:40, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah fans will look at wikipedia for information and I don't think "Crowz" should be mentioned because it's a rumour. I don't believe it ever existed. Like I said before I have multiple books, magazines, DVDs and videos and none of them talk about "Crowz" only fan websites, I think that it is all a lie made up on the internet. Also, like I said before you cannot submit information to Wikipedia without any reliable sources. Rezter TALK 17:01, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Slipknot AoF Voting

[edit]

Following the great success of the Slipknot (album) article after receiving the attention of the Slipknot WikiProject's collaborative effort, the "Article of Focus" (read more) voting on the second article to recieve it's attention is now open. The articles nominated to choose from are Voliminal: Inside the Nine and Slipknot discography, please head over to AoF talk page to vote for which you think should recieve the AoF attention next. Voting ends on 06.02.08 at 8pm GMT. Rezter TALK 18:25, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slipknot AoF #2

[edit]

The second AoF has been decided, Slipknot discography is the article chosen by vote. You can see what this task is for and its aims here. As you are a member of the project, your participation in this task is greatly welcomed and the quicker and better that we improve the article the more efficient the project will become. Please head over the the talk page and identify areas for improvement on the to-do list and begin to achieve these goals. Collaboration is the key word for the AoF and collaborating with 1 or more users on certain tasks is recommended, communications should be made on users talk pages. Rezter TALK 09:45, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AoF Reminder

[edit]

I would just like to remind you as a member of the Slipknot Wikiproject that Nominations are open for the third AoF candidate so please, nominate the article which you think deserves the AoF attention over at the talk page. Thanks very much and I would also like to say that work on the discography page is coming along good but all members are recommended to collaborate in helping develop the article. Rezter TALK 11:36, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Wikiproject

[edit]

Thanks for the invite but I'm not really into those bands; I just thought a template for all those inter-related projects made sense—especially since most of the fans are into all (or many) of the groups. Precious Roy (talk) 16:49, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Userbox images

Copyrighted images only qualify for fair use in articles for which they have rationales. They are not allowed on user pages. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 15:45, 22 February 2008 (UTC))[reply]

RfA

[edit]

Hi juggreserection, I do recall your earlier account. I have to say there is almost no chance of you passing RfA at the moment. The most obvious thing is you have fewer than 500 edits with this account. Most opinion on RfA expects 2000 edits at a minimum, and some people who express an opinion expect considerably more. I think your current edit count would almost certainly prevent you getting a consensus to promote to admin. Next, you will have trouble getting the community's trust given your past account - you'll need to work even harder to overcome those problems. Finally, even a quick glance at this talk page shows you involved with further issues, such as the recreation of the Crowz article, which won't play favorably. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I suspect you need to spend a considerable amount of time working to show that you should be given the admin tools. Some quick tips:

  • Work to improve your use of edit summaries - you should aim to always add an edit summary. There is an option in your preferences to force this which may help
  • Make sure you are familiar with the Wikipedia policies
  • Involve yourself with some WP:AFD discussions - they are a good forum for understanding policy details
  • Become involved in recent change patroling

You can read about my personal thoughts on adminship at User:Gwernol/AdminTips which you may find useful. Best, Gwernol 15:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Another small tip, for what it's worth. A vast percentage of your edits with this account seem to be on article/user talk pages. I believe that the community would expect to see greater input into existing articles and/or creation of new articles if they were to look favourably upon your work when assessing any RfA (although how you deal with editors' comments under pressure is certainly looked at in talk page posts). I would suggest, for now, getting down to some good contributing to the encyclopedia articles rather than too much interaction with other editors. Losing yourself in day-to-day editing is the best way to rack up the number of edits you need too. Best wishes. Ref (chew)(do) 10:06, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, most of the articles listed on my userpage which I started, I knew little or nothing about. The trick is to do a Google search and start looking at some of the webpages in the results, then work out how it should be presented in an article.
I stick mostly to biographies, as events in their lives are usually already listed out when they happened, and its just a question then of transferring the info into the article, changing the wording as much as possible to avoid WP:COPYVIO, and fully referencing all the necessary content. I use either the 'Show Preview' facility on the edit page, until I think it's ready to go 'live', but first (usually) Notepad on my local computer, due to having lost almost-completed articles before through the browser crashing!
I think the article that I knew the least about was my latest, Peter Stephens - the fastest was Pieter Vink, which I knocked up in one go in a morning (because someone else's attempt had been deleted through "lack of notability", and I knew that he was extremely notable, so I re-created it).
Anything's possible when you really put everything into it. Best wishes. Ref (chew)(do) 15:35, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: help w/ death blooms

[edit]

Hey man. Yea the chorus of death blooms (if u can call it a chorus) is basically all on the B string.

It goes like so (all on B string)

B | 0 7 8 0 7 8 0 7 8 0 5 0 3 5 2 0

and then at the end of the chorus into the verse...

B | 3 2 0 2 5 0 2 2

and they're all eighth or sixteenth notes depending on how u look at it. You're welcome lol. Yea Ryan Martinie rocks! You can play the same thing on a 5 string in standard tuning or a 4 string in B, F#, B, E tuning. I think on some of they're songs Ryan plays a detuned 4 string and on some he plays a 5. This is the first time I wrote tab on the computer lol so don't mind the amateurness of it. TTYL! --Carl236 (talk) 03:02, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slipknot AoF #3

[edit]

The third AoF has been decided, Iowa (album) is the article chosen by default due to single nomination. You can see what this task is for and its aims here. As you are a member of the Slipknot WikiProject, your participation in this task is greatly welcomed and the quicker and better that we improve the article, the more efficient the project will become. Please head over the the talk page and identify areas for improvement on the to-do list and begin to achieve these goals. Collaboration is the key word for the AoF and collaborating with 1 or more users on certain tasks is recommended, communications can be made on the articles talk page or on user's talk pages. Nominations are now open for the fourth AoF so head over to the AoF talk page and nominate which article you think should recieve the attention next. REZTER TALK ø 22:30, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was gonna congratulate you for the cool psychotic art but then I saw your user boxes and it all made sense. :) Thanks for ogging us up. Have all ICP fans seen the Frontline episode (text summary)? No idea if it represents the Juggalo fairly, but it's the funniest Frontline ever. / edg 15:57, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Meant to get back to you sooner. Most of what I know about ICP I learned on Wikipedia, and my own bad taste in music was formed in the 1980s (Swans, Motörhead, Schoolly D, disposable punk bands), so I can't contribute much to those projects. I've watchlisted a few of the pages around User:JpGrB/WikiProject Psychopathic Records, and will try to help if I can. / edg 18:00, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} I need Image:GreenHatchetMan.gif in this template, but i cant remember how i set it up, it was such a long time ago.

Hi! Just link to it as normal, and it will automatically put the image in there. If you want it smaller, just put |100px after the image's name, and it will set the width of the image to 100 pixels across. Change the number to make it bigger or smaller.
