Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Thank you for uploading File:Oilandgas2.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:23, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Plant2.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Plant2.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:15, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Plant1.png

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Plant1.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 17:16, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated Mixing in Consumer Products, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mixing in Consumer Products and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you.

This nomination also covers several other articles you have authored. In light of the comments so far, it would be very helpful if you would participate in the discussion and explain the sources you used and whether the articles are your original writing. Hello, TheodoreNg. You have new messages at Christian75's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Greetings. This article seems similar to the ones reviewed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mixing in Consumer Products, and may be similarly problematic, so I will start another article for deletion page: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mixing in the Food Industry. Is it a copy of your supervisor's articles? Aside from possible copyright violations, the article should probably be named differently; perhaps Food_mixer or Industrial_mixer or another appropriate article could be augmented with this information? There is a lot of interesting stuff here; thanks! ErikHaugen (talk) 18:11, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Food Mixing 4.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. License tagging for File:Mineral 16.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mineral 16.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Theodore. As you will notice, I have nominated many images that you have uploaded for deletion. Because Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia, all of the images must be free for others to use for any purposes. That means that websites, books, and other resources cannot have their images copied into Wikipedia without violating copyrights. If the authors themselves are willing to release their content by a free license (Creative Commons CC-BY-SA, GFDL, or Public Domain), please send a permission to WP:OTRS. Another question I would have is where do Consumer products mixing and Mineral Processing mixing come from? Are they a student project, copied from somewhere, or did you make them yourself? If you have any questions, feel free to ask. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 20:30, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
