Information icon Hello, Thinkrightpr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. TryAgainSooner (talk) 17:16, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Thinkrightpr", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Kovcszaln6. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Kristin M. Davis have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Kovcszaln6 (talk) 17:19, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 00:28, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand the username gives the appearance of a business and paid promotion. I request to be unblocked with the name change. I am trying to edit my own page as it leaves off most of what I have done in the last 6-8 years which is relevant to an encyclopedic page on a unique figure. I understand I included links that did not meet policy and I have since reviewed the external link policy and will not make that mistake again. I only want to include factual data that is relevant to an encyclopedic page. I kindly request to be unbanned to be able to do this. Many of the citations I included are worthy of being recorded historically.

Accept reason:

Your account has been renamed. Please follow the instructions in the new block notice which will follow in a moment. Cabayi (talk) 19:31, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A bit of an internet search shows that this is plausible. If I were to rename your account to KristinMDavis I will be required to block you until you can show the VRTS team that you ARE Kristin M. Davis. Wikipedia is not accepting of users treating the article about them as an autobiography. How do you want to proceed? Cabayi (talk) 13:55, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
curious on the best practices to update the page? Do you have any advice Thinkrightpr (talk) 16:02, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and especially Wikipedia:Simple conflict of interest edit request. Kovcszaln6 (talk) 15:19, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Would appreciate proceeding with the name change and unblocking. Thank you. How can I show the VRTS team identity? I am happy to send an email from my company email- or an ID. Thinkrightpr (talk) 14:21, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, KristinMDavis, matches the name of a well-known, living person.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You may choose to edit under a new username (see information below), but keep in mind that you are welcome to continue to edit under this username.

If you choose to keep your current username, please send an email to info-en@wikimedia.org including your real name and your Wikipedia username to receive instructions from our volunteer response team about account verification. Please do not send documentation without being requested to do so.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change to this account.

  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Important items to note:

  • The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • The new username you choose cannot already be taken and used by another account. You can search here to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns, "There is no global account for [username]", that means it is available.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 19:33, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
