It is felt that the article you created at Terry Flaxton is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which must have a notable subject and be verifable. I have moved it to User:Trflaxton, which is where users are free to write about themselves. You are at liberty to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion. As a user page it is likely to survive untouched.

Please read WP:AUTO. The recommendation is always: wait until someone else writes a bio about you. -- RHaworth 10:02, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Roger - I see that you binned the article I was writing - yes - on myself. I am a video artist and I noticed that in the official histories the same old crap was being written and re-written about the same old usual subjects - that by the way is how notable people continue being notable. I am in a few histories of Video Art for what it's worth - check out the British FIlm and Video Artists Study Collection if you want to waste a few minutes.

I take the point about waiting until others write about you - difficult if you don't play in the 'art system'. I haven't done anything before with Wikipoedia so yes I was guilty but not knowingly trying to do bad stuff.

Well just to say some people have written about my work - they just haven't written on WiIkipedia - yet. All my life I've hated the system - the systematic abuse of history and I thought wikipedia might be a way out of all that.

Bottom line though is I take your point - but that point has to mean that the ecology of possible information will also, like the planet in terms of global warming, get worse. I don't want to assume a false alias with a free email address and write about myself to get under your radar (which of course is the easy way that a lot of this stuff gets formulated).

I remain binned and I know you're only doing what you feel is right - but check out the possible effects of enabling information flow in only one way - the 'HISTORY' gets written.

Apart from that, and on another level - carry on carrying on.

I should really ignore this. You give me absolutely no clue as to what your Wikipedia User ID is or what article I binned. That is why it is better to use a Wikipedia User_talk: page - at least that will record your ID even if you fail to sign. I assume that you are not User:Flaxton to whom I have left a message in the past. -- RHaworth

OK - thanks ! But yes I am User:Flaxton so thanks for responding given my ignorance of the system. Imagine though the simple act of binning has such an impact on the one binned.

Good luck. Terry Flaxton

No you are not user:Flaxton. Again you don't deserve it: I said you are at liberty to move it back into the (Main) namespace above and I meant it. Anyway I have moved it for you and put it up for AfD so that you can have a decision more democratic than just me! Please note that I have carefully omitted the word vanity from the nomination.
Do please contribute to the AfD debate but make sure that: you are logged in when you do it, make clear who you are and sign your comment with ~~~~. -- RHaworth 09:44, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
