If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Tuesdaymight, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (This page is not unambiguously promotional because, first of all, to be promotional would suggest that there is an intent by myself to "promote". And I can't imagine why anyone would think that the page is promotional. Promotional? As in advertising? That seems doubtful because, first of all, who in the world is going to visit this page except for the odd once-in-a-blue-moon editor who's curious about some odd edit I made, trying to see if there's any explanation for the edit on my talk page? In other words nobody probably. With some rare exception. I'd be glad to blank the page. It's a work in progress. I put on the page a note that a website (I think its "Ngram") is interesting. And it is -- that was not really intended to be read by the great masses of people who are never going to visit my user page. I suspect that the one who was alerted to this page was a robot. Am I right? Because no human being would think this page was "promotional". Well, if that's so, the scientists have recently been warning us that we humans are going to have a problematic period in dealing with robots -- and finding our way to inter-relate. It's going to get extreme, they say. So, if this is an early glimmer of what's to come, and this is assuming that you are indeed a robot, well, may I say "BACK OFF, ROBOT!" and of course if you are a human you will have to forgive me for using capital letters and the exclamation point, and you know that wasn't intended for you. And if you are human you understand the whole situation. Also, unambiguous? This User page has ambiguity all over it -- starting with the confusion regarding what the heck you're talking about. I would respectfully request of any humans out there that in order for me to respond properly I'd need some clarification to this charge. I've never in my life been accused of being "unambiguously promotional". "Unambiguously promotional" suggests that you are concerned that I might be raking in some kind of cash over this user page. Right? How?! Please explain. I hope this explains things okay -- coming from one who is at a loss for words.) --Tuesdaymight (talk) 17:52, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored and tweaked a bit to make it clearer what you're linking to. Part of the problem is that the vast majority of links on user pages are at best self-promoting (eg social media) and at worst blatant advertising. My apologies that two experienced admins (so far) have pulled the trigger. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:49, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
