Hi Q

Hi Q! Thanks for coordinating an event for WikiWomen's History Month! I am trying to gather information on a few things for a summary I'm writing about the month! It'd be great to know the following information, if possible:

  • How many participants did the event have?
  • How many new editors created accounts? (A list of editors would be awesome!)
  • Is it possible that all of the article and contribution outcomes can be shared on the WWHM outcomes page?

Any thoughts you can share about successes, participant experience, lessons learned, things one wishes they would have done differently, ways WMF and chapters can support these events, and so forth, would be wonderful. Wikipedia Stories Project

Hi!

My name is Victor and I'm a storyteller with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. I'm chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who make and use Wikipedia have so much to share.

I asked Sarah Stierch who might be good to talk to and she send me your name.

I'd very much like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia. Hey! I created this for you. Feel free to manipulate if you wish. Also, if you share it with people make sure you replace the signature with your own four tildes so it's not my signature. To send it out, the best thing (I think?) is to go to User:EdwardsBot and on the talk page perhaps ask for someone to send it out for you. I am Max Klein the Wikipedian in Residence for OCLC. I'm contacting you today because I have been organizing a Wikipedia Loves Libraries event on Wednesday 11th July 2012 at George Washington University and I would like to invite you to give the opening presentation. The subject of the presentation would be a the history of the involvement of Wikipedia and Libraries and your perceived direction for it in the future.
