Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Greeks in India redirect
[edit]It looks like you were trying to blank the redirect left at Greeks in India after moving it to Greeks Diaspora in India.
It's fine to create new redirects and to blank recently created redirect that were created in error, but re-targeting or deleting of redirects that have been around awhile should go through some kind of discussion, such as WP:Redirects for discussion. I didn't see any discussion about this redirect. Did I miss something? davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 02:37, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- OK I see you started a discussion at Talk:Greek conquests in India#Requested move 31 December 2020, please wait for it to close before changing things around. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 02:42, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
December 2020
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Greek conquests in India, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ─ The Aafī (talk) 11:21, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Rigvedic tribes into List of ancient Indo-Aryan peoples and tribes. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🇨🇦 (talk) 14:50, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Fowler&fowler. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Maurya Empire have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. This is the version of a hard-won admin-supervised consensus. Please take to the article talk page if you must and attempt to obtain a fresh consensus. Be warned it can take weeks. Please do not edit war. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 20:13, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Maurya Empire. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Please note per WP:BRD (i.e. bold (your edit), revert (mine), and discuss) you need to establish a new consensus on the artcle's talk page. Merely making a post and engaging in WP:Editwarring is not helpful and can lead to penalties. You have received the ARBIPA notice in February 2021, so you are aware that these pages are closely watched by admins. The current placement of maps is the result of a previous consensus. Best regards, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 06:53, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Maurya Empire. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please note that you are now dangerously close to violating the WP:3RR rule. Again, you need to seek a fresh consensus on the article's talk page, and not talk to me in edit summaries. Btw, "reenvision" is not a word in the English language, it is semantically meaningless. An article you recently created, Ayasya, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Mahabharata, you may be blocked from editing. I doubt that you have the expertise to decide that an expert in the field published by a prestigious university press isn't reliable. Doug Weller talk 16:25, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

. Doug Weller talk 16:27, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Doug you've provided no definitive reasons for blocking me. Stop gatekeeping sites you have limited knowledge yet unfortunately have sway in. Vajra Raja (talk) 08:55, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Learn how to have a discourse. Instead of resorting to attempting to block people for editing, provide a counter. There are good faith edits, however your actions demonstrate you have a predisposed stance. Do better Doug. Vajra Raja (talk) 09:01, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Unblock

Request reason:
User Doug Weller blocked me without providing a reason or response. This is against Wikipedias good faith edit and discourse rules. Must be a power trip. Vajra Raja (talk) 08:57, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You were given a clear reason for the block, and a clear path to resolving it("agree to discussion") but you have not done so, and made a personal attack("power trip"). 331dot (talk) 09:11, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Doug Weller had no substantial claim for blocking my good faith edit. He can't even explain how "Pradyumna: Lover, Magician, and Son of the Avatara" relates to the Mahābhārata. Just because it's been published by the oxford press doesn't mean it's credible in the field. Furthermore at least have proper punctuation in the reason why I'm being blocked. Vajra Raja (talk) 09:09, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
- So sorry I didn't spend time enough on punctuation for you. I've replaced it with the actual text in the block itself. I don't need to explain myself about the content issue. Doug Weller talk 09:39, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
