[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Raipur, Chhattisgarh has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): geocities\.com (links: http://www.geocities.com/bhopal).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:28, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have an issue with an article, please raise it on the talk page or fix it yourself. Maintanance templates are good, but please do not stick them in the middle of prose. HJMitchell You rang? 11:24, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Further to that, the db-spam template should be used only when you feel that the speedy deletion of the entire page is warranted. Thus, you shoud use the template only once and it should be placed at the top of the article. However, Speedy deletion is considered to be a last resort, where nothing could be done to save the article (such as Nonsense (G1), Vandalism (G3) or a totally non notable subject (A7)). In cases that don't meet one of the criteria at WP:CSD, use WP:PROD or WP:AfD instead. Check out the deletion policy for more detail.
Please exercise restraint in your use of the speedy dletion and maintanance tags. PS- if it's just a section you're placing a maintanance tag on, most of them (at leat the most common- wikify, cleanup, refimprove, unreferenced etc) work better if you put "-section" after the code. Any questions, get in touch, HJMitchell You rang? 12:03, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, your attempt to redirect this page to Indore just shows that you know nothing of Geography and that you are trying to vandalize this page. Any more of such attempts will cause blocking of your account. Personally, I would suggest you refrain from such changes and concentrate on making positive contributions. Thanks.--GDibyendu (talk) 06:20, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deleting

[edit]

hi Vikas Jain,

Speedy deleting if for getting rid of whole articles that are obviously not worth keeping, and cannot be fixed by editing. Normally this applies onto to new articles, and certainly not to mature articles edited by many. Deleting them is controversial and has to use a process involving debate and consensus. If you just want to remove some text, you can talk about it on the talk page, or even do it yourself. Make sure that you explain what you are doing, so that it does not look like vandalism. License tagging for File:Habibganj Railway Plateform.JPEG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Habibganj Railway Plateform.JPEG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Jagdalpur Airport. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Amplitude101 (talk) 03:53, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Raipur/Indore

[edit]

Hi. Please note that deliberately introducing incorrect information into wikipedia is a blockable offense. Stating that Raipur, Chattisgarh is now a part of Indore is an outrageous example of this. If this was an honest isolated mistake then no worries, but if you continue to do this, you will be blocked. Thanks. --RegentsPark (My narrowboat) 11:40, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Jabalpur Junction. Blank pages are malicious to Wikipedia as they often confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the deletion process for how to proceed. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Amarkantak Express, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.india9.com/i9show/Amarkantak-Express-52259.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 09:41, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Amarkantak Express requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article Gwalior Sithouli, please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Uploading free images to Wikimedia Commons

[edit]

Thank you for uploading free images/media to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view previous uploads by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'file' namespace from the drop down box (or see [1]). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading! feydey (talk) 13:54, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Indian Doctor.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Indian Doctor.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –SpacemanSpiff 06:36, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Narmada at Bilaspur.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 00:49, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
