Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Vinayvinyill, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Bhagavan does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 10:48, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some advice

[edit]

Hi Vinayvinyill. You'll have to take some time to learn the basics of Wikipedia-editing. For example, when you add a source, you use yhis format:

<ref>IndiaDivine.org, [https://www.indiadivine.org/bhavishya-purana-the-predictions-of-madhva-and-sridhara/ Bhavishya Purana: The Predictions of Madhva and Sridhara]</ref>

which gives this.[1]

References

Also, we use WP:COMMONNAME, and not title like "Lord Vishnu." And we use WP:RS. Regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 10:55, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

when I edited Wiki page about religion, don't delete it I add authentic information only Vinayvinyill (talk) 11:03, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's not how it works at Wikipedia. What you add may be true from a religious pov, but at Wikipedia we follow WP:NPOV. Don't expect not to be reverted; you'll be disappointed. Put some effort in understanding basic policies; otherwise it's not going to work. Regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 12:42, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Bhagavan, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 12:44, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Vaishnavism, Vyasa, and Jagannath. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 15:30, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vinayvinyill, ths is going nowhere but a block. Wikipedia is not your personal property, you have to respect the rules. You can't just change things as you lke, or believe. Two more rounds of editing like this, and your Wikipedia-adventure will end for a while, with your account being blocked. Take care. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 15:36, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Vishnu Sahasranama, Puranas and Vaikuntha, you may be blocked from editing. CanonNi (talk) 06:52, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@CanonNi: I think that one warnings, for his latest three edits, suffices; it gives them two more chances to do it right. Would you mind removing the level-4 warning? Regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 07:09, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. I have removed the final warning. CanonNi (talk) 07:14, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I edit based on authentic information as per hindu texts. Plz dont remove edit. Vinayvinyill (talk) 07:14, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Vaikuntha. Joshua Jonathan (talk) 07:17, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Lord Vishnu

[edit]

You have introduced the term "Lord Vishnu" several times, and did it again with this edit, despite multiple warnings. I'd warned you that I'd ask for a block, but I'll give you another chance, and some explanation.
We don't use the term "Lord," a WP:HONORIFICS; we just use the plain name. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Indic)#Titles and honorifics. Please stick to that convention, and take care. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 07:48, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Admins

[edit]

@Doug Weller and RegentsPark: happy easter; could one of you block this account? Obviously this editor isn't capable of learning from feedback; this is the final straw. Regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 07:52, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lord Vishnu is Supreme God. Vinayvinyill (talk) 08:04, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

if you block me , ok block it, i have no problem. You peoples are rascals and foolish, evryone is independet on editing, i edited authentic information only, but you people always deleted , shame on it. Wikipedia is waste, encyclopedia is much better than this so called Wikipedia. Vinayvinyill (talk) 08:08, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from attacking other editors. Also, for your information, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, see WP:ABOUT for more info. CanonNi (talk) 08:10, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Doug Weller talk 09:10, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok thanks to me for block.

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Vinayvinyill. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
