ill remember to do that in the future.

FYI, my edit was changing the plain text of "stillborn" into a link on a page about John Adams

Talk Page Reversion

[edit]

Hey, thanks for reverting my first talk page vandalism case! --Targetter (Lock On) 20:32, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Southampton parishes

[edit]

Hi. Southampton hasn't had civil parishes since 1974, as far as I am aware, which is when the single unified Southampton urban parish was abolished. Where are you getting this from? Morwen - Talk 13:09, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically look here [1] -> Southampton CP was formed in 1912 by a merger of Portswood, Shirley, Southampton All Saints, Southampton Holy Rood parishes, which were joined in 1925 by Bitterne, Itchen and Southampton St Nicholas. This was then extinguished in 1974 by the Local Government Act 1972. To my knowledge no parishes have been erected in Southampton since then. Is it possible you were mixing up historical information or possibly the ecclesiastical parishes? Morwen - Talk 14:21, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Do you think I got them all? :) Morwen - Talk 08:23, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Here's my response Waggers 08:29, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When I meant "got them all" i meant "succesfully purged all mention of Southampton parishes" . Btw, Portswood parish did too exist : see [2] Morwen - Talk 09:02, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Football Hooliganism

[edit]
Repeat of my message on Englishrose's talk page as it went ignored: Please find a single source suggesting that Galatasaray club members or supporters were involved. Also, that section is ridiculous; it is full of errors and purposely leaves out information such as Hakan Sukur being hit with a projectile in the leg at Elland Road and the racist chanting during the match. It ignores the Galatasaray team bus being stoned while going through an underpass. It ignores the attacks on British citizens of Turkish and Muslim origin during the time of the semifinal. It ignores that Emre Belozoglu was also sent off in the second leg of the semifinal near the same exact time as Harry Kewell. They are trying to make it appear as though the referee was the reason their club lost (amazing how some people can be sore about a result after 5 years) when in fact a Galatasaray player was sent off also; in any case, I have both matches on tape and Leed United (despite finishing third in England that year) were barely in the match and were surprisingly light on the ball; if they want to blame somebody for them losing the match it should be themselves as Galatasaray dominated both legs. Basically, they're trying to suggest that Turks are evil, that their clubs shouldn't play in UEFA, that the Leeds United organization is a shining example of decency (LOL); amazing, this club Leeds is the same that threatened the Busby Babes with death during their time playing. This is the same club whose players were involved in the beating of a Muslim Asian student (Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate; Lee Bowyer settled out of court: big surprise) in Leeds. Please read what I have written in the Galatasaray talk page. There is much much more.Waya 516:59, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Football Hooliganism

[edit]

Following the suggestion to move the Galatasaray hooliganism information to the Football Hooliganism instead, which was agreed on and I proceeded in doing. I thought I might let you know that a user is now removing this information.Englishrose 17:36, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Here is my reply Waggers 14:33, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Right, I've tried talking to Waya 5 on his own talk page and on the football hooliganism talk page but to be blunt I've given up hope. As far as he's concerned, "UEFA allowed the game to proceed as Galatasaray had nothing to with the incident and Galatasaray won 2-0.", "The Leeds chairman at the time, Peter Ridsdale, accused Galatasaray as "showing a lack of respect", despite knowing full well that the incident had nothing to do with the Galatasaray organiztion", "Galatasaray’s players refused to wear black arm bands, insisting that the incident had nothing to do them and that football hooligans should not be made into martyrs", the England section on the Football hooliganism is now littered with dodgy comments like that.
I know your trying to act as a middle man but we both know that both teams are to blame and Galatasaray and Turkey fans are no angels just like Leeds and England fans. I'm actually a Hartlepoolfan who doesn't have the most favourable view of Leeds fans after a 100 banned hooligans made the trip to Hartlepool for our captains testimonial match. No matter what I say will change Waya 5's view and he'll keep reverting to that version. He's even tried reporting me to admins for misrepresenting the facts, which won't go anywhere because they'll see right through it. To be honest, I don't know what to do? All I do know is that Waya 5's version cannot remain. Thanks.
BTW: I'm compiling a more broader account into Turkish hooliganism, which will cover more than just one club with Turkish sources. Englishrose 21:52, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also, when I have finished this broader version, I'd be greatful if you could have a look at it and tone done what ever parts you feel need toning. Englishrose 22:28, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have now done this which can be accessed here. Feel free to edit it and make changes. I've tried to reference as much as I can, and use Turkish newspapers as I can. Englishrose 23:40, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Here is my reply Waggers 09:09, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've now added the section to the article, thanks for your edits. I've also updated the England section and added more content and tracked down the missing references for it. The France section has been victim to Waya 5 and I'll try and sort it out later. Englishrose 00:00, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How do i get y our job? When all you do is watch tools like us leaving messages about the fine impression left by famous (or at least soon to be) radio hosts, and maybe some porn!

The best bit, you get paid to do it! Wow, how forfilling this job must be, do you see people like us as an oasis in an otherwise crappy day! Are you a nerd's Nerd, or a Technician for the computer literate, or are you the last outpost of protection against the nerdish equivilant of horse-rustlers?

Also, are you wearing your nice pants today?

When you read this, please add Australian accent!

Lastly, are you wearing your nice pants today? Mine have a hole, and it isn't pretty! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrcwallace (talkcontribs) 12:49, 4 November 2006 GMT Waggers 09:49, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you avoiding me?

[edit]

Was it something i said? We were there having a nice conversation, and now i get nothing? You don't think i have feelings too! Aren't i worth it?

It's not that i'm jelous of the 40,000 other people you have to search and destroy, but i thought i was your favourite, i thought we had something specail.

There you were, in your boring grey UK office, with crap weather outside, and a terrible cricket team (But let's not talk about rugby!), and here i was, living it up in sunny (Although not right now, being night time and all!) Australia, with a hole in my pants.

Please reply, i miss you!

"Twit" is a term of affection. If u Limeys r too stupid to know that that's your problem. This is America not France!! Some moron named WJ is vandalizing your talk page btw. Just wanted to help u by letting u know. Be sure to ban him. Your welcome!

Mozart testing...

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your note about Piano Concerto No. 19 (Mozart). I apologise for the insane number of edits I have been doing, but the page is complex - and took a great deal of work over the last few days. I just wanted to ask why you thought it warranted being reverted - are you implying vandalism?? Or that I was adding nonsense to the page?

Cheers Graham Grahbudd 13:10, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, many thanks for your kind response - I guessed something of the sort had happened. I will try to be a bit cleaner about edits though, it is obviously going to cause trouble if I am not careful! Best wishes - Graham Grahbudd 06:08, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
