License tagging for Image:Europlanetarium-wit.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Europlanetarium-wit.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:05, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

I see that you created and uploaded the image ESC1998.GIF. Thanks a lot for that! However, there seems to be an error in the map. The Netherlands is yellow, which stands for "Countries who have participated in the past but don't this year." The Netherlands participated in the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest. Edsilia Rombley reached fourth place with the song "Hemel en Aarde." Aecis No running, shouting or piddling in the shallow end 00:28, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Lee DuMonde, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.soapoperafan.com/days/characters/dumondes.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Proposed deletion of St James's Gate F.C.

[edit]

The article St James's Gate F.C. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

amateur sporting club, lacks 3rd party references, does not meet general notability guidelines.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 02:42, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Barbara Dex Award, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:29, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The first article you created on this subject was deleted after this discussion, in which consensus was that the subject is not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Your new article was also nominated for deletion before it was found to contain substantially the same text; you did not alter the content in such a way as to demonstrate that it is notable in spite of community consensus. You may wish to review Wikipedia:Why was my page deleted? for some suggestions on the use of this material. Please note that an article on this subject should not be created unless you are able to demonstrate that it meets Wikipedia:Notability, which generally will require multiple reliable sources that are not generated by somebody involved with the article's subject. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:38, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Barbara Dex Award

[edit]

Hi. The reason I was in favour of the deletion of the Barbara Dex Award article is because it fails the notability criteria for inclusion in Wikipedia: there are no independent reliable third-party sources which assert its notability. Simple as that. This is in contrast to your example of "Pullitzer Prize". It's not just that it's "more known": it's that there exist many independent third-party sources which assert how notable that prize is. It's nothing personal - just the way Wikipedia works. EuroSong talk 09:46, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't edit AfD discussions after they have ended as you did with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barbara Dex Award - the discussion had been closed for nearly 4 years. Codf1977 (talk) 10:13, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Waterloo1974! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 484 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hello, Waterloo1974. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, José Barreiro (footballer), for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want José Barreiro (footballer) to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.
