External link formatting...
[edit]Just a quick how-to on external link formatting: If you want to give your link a title, put the title in the square brackets, so [http://www.google.com Google] renders as Google. Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 18:41, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Scotland Manufacturing
[edit]A tag has been placed on Scotland Manufacturing, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. WackyWace talk 18:05, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- I have moved the page to your userspace so you can continue to work on it. It can be found at User:Wendyfables/Scotland Manufacturing. ... discospinster talk 20:51, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- I have submitted the image to Wikimedia Commons for approval for this page, which has an e-mail with permission attached. I am also waiting on more sources to put in this page, but I'm wondering if that is why this is flagged. I don't feel that this has any advertisement language, but does have facts about the company itself and what they do. How many more sources from outside articles are required?
Thank you in advance for not deleting this page and allowing me the time to adjust it per Wikipedia policies. Wendyfables (talk) 19:06, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Scotland Manufacturing
[edit]Now you've added the categories and see also links, I think the article is ready to be moved into the main space. However, I am not sure how to do this, so please ask either on your own talk page by typing {{helpme}} followed by your query or ask at WP:HD. Thanks and I'm sorry that I do not know :( I need to read up! Chevymontecarlo 18:04, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Orphans
[edit]As the tag says
This article is an orphan, as few or no other articles link to it.
In these cases there are no articles linking to them. That is generally seen as "not enough".
See WP:Orphan for more detail. Regards, Rich Farmbrough, 20:33, 12 July 2010 (UTC).
The article Scotland Manufacturing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Advertising puff piece on a non-notable business. This is advertising: the bulk of the article is a list of things they can make for you. "References" are all internal to the site, to its financier, or to a professional organization it belongs to. Google news archive results yield no helpful hits showing verifiable coverage in reliable sources. Straight results are hopelessly contaminated by hits about the country Scotland; adding "Carolina" to the search string yields only obituaries of former employees and similar stuff as relevant hits.[1]
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Categories
[edit]Hi Wendyfables, Just a courtesy note that I de-activated the categories in User:Wendyfables/Shelley Metz Baumann Hawk; generally we don't include user space drafts in categories meant for articles. I was looking at Category:Structural engineering and saw your draft article listed there. They should only be included when they are actual Wikipedia articles. When you move the article to article space, just remove the colons I added, and the page will be categorized. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers. --Floquenbeam (talk) 16:08, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]The notability tag refers to the subject as a whole, not parts of the page. That said, the article does look generally in pretty good shape, and I think the company seems notable, therefore I have removed the tags. Rich Farmbrough, 12:02, 6 July 2011 (UTC).
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
