From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since I removed it first, let me explain that I genuinely did take you seriously. I thought, huh, that's interesting!, and I dug up episode 110 to see if what you said was true. And I can totally see what you mean, how she sticks her hands into the air. It does sort of look three-pointed. But it doesn't look like a trident exactly, which would be a much more severe shape, requiring her arms to curve up into the air. In the end, I removed it because I think it's a matter of opinion and probably a coincidence. Since this is an encyclopedia, we're only allowed to report on things that are definitely true. So please, don't take it personally, and please continue contributing. You clearly have knowledge to share.

The other thing that was removed was the info about Neptune's video-game only attack. We've actually been talking about setting up an article for the Sailor Moon video games for some time, and I think that information would be much better-suited for that page. So, again, don't take it personally; I think the varient attacks would be great information to have (in restrained detail), so although what you wrote was removed, I'll put it on the Michiru Kaioh talk page. That way it's preserved, so that, when we're ready to get that section up and running, we can use your info and not have to start from zero. :)

Again, thanks for contributing! WP has a lot of rules, but they're pretty easy to learn. I've been having the time of my life, and I hope you stick around. --Masamage 07:54, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, I just don't know what you're talking about. I'm not saying that the trident thing wasn't intended, or that it's not an awesome little tidbit--I'm saying that this is an Encyclopedia, and we're not allowed to put anything in it unless we can prove it with external sources. It's against the rules. Find me a reliable reference and we'll put it back--it's that simple.
You don't need to be so angry at me--I was extremely polite to you, and I don't deserve to be accused of "thinking only on the left side" or not being a "true fan" or "dominating the field." Wikipedia works by consensus, and there are nine people signed up for WikiProject Sailor Moon plus countless more in WikiProject Anime and many others with no affiliation who contribute to and vote for and care about these articles. We welcome your opinion on things, but it's one opinion among many, and it doesn't give you the right to insult the rest of us for disagreeing with you. This is basic courtesy.
As for the video game attack, I said we'd put it back in, so I don't even know why you're so upset. We're in the middle of at least a dozen tasks and projects on the Sailor Moon pages right now, and starting up the video game thing would require thorough research and completeness. Exactly what you suggest, in fact! But since, as I say, we're in the middle of a ton of other things, we're going to set that aside and do a good job at what we've already got going before we take anything else on. Just be patient. --Masamage 17:56, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the apology; I really appreciate that.
And yeah, let's be honest; there's a lot of crap on Wikipedia. I participate in a lot of deletion discussions, so I've had a pretty good look at just how true that is. The general agreement among editors is that stupid content should be fixed, not used to justify more stupid content. But it's always going to be a work in progress, ne?
I can understand your anger, though. One of my first articles was about the Princess forms of the Sailor Moon characters, and it was destroyed within the space of a week. I put a lot of work into that, and I was very upset for a good while. But eventually I decided that maybe people were right, or maybe I should at least listen to their points. I decided to channel my efforts into connecting the SM articles so that no more disorganization would occur, which is actually where the WikiProject came from. So, yeah, it's totally understandable that you're irritated, and I respect that. But I hope it doesn't stop you from wanting to continue to help.
In particular, do you know a lot about the Sailor Moon video games? I've played three or four of them, but it's been a long time. I think what we need to do is create a gathering-place for all the information we know about them, and once we have that, decide where to distribute it around the project.
If you'd like to help with that, I'd be delighted. Let's put it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Sailor Moon/Sailor Moon video games. That link is red right now because the page doesn't exist--but I invite you to create it, and toss in anything you know. :) It's in the WikiProject space, not in the article space, so it doesn't have to be organized or complete and no one will come along trying to delete it while we work on it.
Just a thought. All other forms of help are appreciated, too; for example, thanks for nabbing that typo off the Amazoness Quartet page. ^_^ But do remember, there are a lot of people here, so most things any of us do to articles will probably eventually be messed with in some fashion. It's just part of the system, and taking this personally every single time would be so exhausting that I strongly advise against it. ^^;;;
Thanks again for your contribution. --Masamage 21:33, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds great! And yeah, don't worry about the grammar if you don't want to; that's my speciality. :D --Masamage 06:14, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tenma

[edit]

His name is actually テンマ, and I think that for the style of the articles, there shouldn't be too much kanji everywhere, only in the individual articles of each character. Folken de Fanel 10:27, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

But only Tenma in katakana is used in the manga. Anyway, if you want to stress the origin of the name, write it in a note below the paragraph, instead of leaving the katakana withoput anything more to people who don't know japanese...
It seem you haven't understood how Wikipedia works yet. Everyone can edit it. Even if you don't want me to edit something, I can and if I concidere it necessary, I will. Don't think of your edits as the best ones or the final ones, because it'll never be like that.
Yes, I think it is too much kanji. It's not because it's japanese animation that everything should be in kanji. This wikipedia is for english-speaking people, and the origin of the subject of an article absolutely doesn't matter, it'll still be written in english. And no, the whole thing won't be written in japanese. Go to the japanese wiki for that, please.
No, the kanji have absolutely no importance. Saint Seiya is a japanese show, but besides that...Writing kanji everywhere in the article won't make it "better". There's nothing the kanji can add. There's nothing "important" in it. It has nothing to do with the character or anyhting : japanese is just a language, which is not english.

Saga hair color

[edit]

"The article was trying to compare the spirit inside Saga to be the same as Shun/Hades' spirit, I just want to point out that it's not the same spirit." :

Unless you have very solid proof to back up your claim, you can't do anything. And above all you can't edit out this comparison.

Because this is fact. It may have no significance, but both Shun and Saga, whe possessed either by the evil entity or Hades, have their hair turning jet black : yes, for the 2 characters, the exact same transformation occurs. And what do we find out at the end ? That Hades has jet-black hair and that's why Shun's hair turned jet black.

So while the article doesn't express any definitive answer, it IS relevant to note the similarities of the hair color changes. It's a serious possibility.

So no, it'll not be replaced by something else, biased.

"and over all the hint given all pointed to Ares as in God of War":

No, there as never been a signle hint of this.

Obviously you have been confused by the name the anime script writers gave to Pope Saga : Arles.

They gave the evil pope this name, when Kurumada hadn't yet thought about the story of Saga and Shion. This "Arles" name was an early decision of the script writers, as when they introduced the Crystal Saint, which was found to be highly contradictory with the latter scenario written by Kurumada in his manga.

To recify the incoherence, Takao Koyama, the main script writer of the anime, wrote a side story in one of the Jump Gold databook : it told the story of Saga, and how he first killed, Arles, Shion's young brother, and assumed his identity. When Shion died, he hadn't named a successor, and then Arles was chosen as the natural sucessor of Shion. But it was in fact Saga, assuming Arles identity. And that's why the Pope was named Arles in the anime.

But in the manga, this name (which could be confused with the name of the greek god of war) never appear. The pope is always thought to be Shion, then Saga.
The dark entity is never named, and there's only the hair color.

I think you've never read the manga. If both Saga and Shun changed hair color to match the jet black hair of Hades, it can't be simply mere chance.
Otherwise, why would Saga and Shun change hair color ? It would have been easier not to change their hair color. But they did.
Moreover it has been especially stressed by Kurumada that Shun changed hair color to jet black because Hades has jet black hair.
So this hair color change is linked to hades, and what do we see in the Sanctuary chapter ? Saga's hair changed from blond to jet black.
The comparison isn't misleading. It IS in the manga. We can't act as if it didn't happen.
But as I've said, the article makes no definitive answer.
Anyway, this is always more believable than your "Ares" theory which absolutely doesn't make any sense. Folken de Fanel 14:34, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't act as a jalous kid. You aren't the best Saint Seiya fan, and you don't know much about Saint Seiya. Admit it and stop making trantrums. If you write bullshit about Saint Seiya here, it will get rectified, because we are on a free encyclopedia, which you don't own. You're not the only one "authorised" to write here. So please stop.
The thing is that, it's you who can't handle people finding the truth before you. Folken de Fanel 11:09, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But everyone knows you wanted a tight grip on these pages, but hopefully someone who knows Saint Seiya erased your mistakes. Folken de Fanel 08:38, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah sure

[edit]

No, it's clear that you want the final say. But you won't have it because you're wrong.

My "theory" HAS solid base. Is your IQ below 100 ? That would explain how you can be so stubborn. I've already explained many times that Saga and Shun, when possessed by an external entity, have their hair changed to jet black. And in the Hades chapter (which you have apparently never read), it's confirmed that Shun's hair turn to jet-black because he is being fully possessed by Hades, whose real body has jet-black hair. So it's implied that hair tuning jet-black means possession by Hades.

Then, it is absolutely nomal to link Saga's possession to Hades. Even when Shun's transformation occurs, Ikki noted that the exact same thing happened to Saga (but of course you can't know, since you've never read saint Seiya). So really, this is no coincidence here, that Hades was speculated to be involved in Saga's case. Because contrary to what you say, it has very solid and undisputable proof.

And it's not by negating what is shown in the manga that you'll achieve anything, except proving that you're a complete ignorant.

Otherwise, you're stupid ares theory, this time, has no solid base. It's just based on a stupid mistranslation and complete misunderstanding of the japanese language. I even told you exactly why Saga was called Arles in the anime : it has been proven that this name was completely unrelated to "Ares". Besides, your retarded theory is only based on an incoherence from the anime. Muist I remind you that the name "Arles" does not appear anywhere in the manga, which is the true version of the story ?

But of course, you couldn't know that. Because you don't know the Jump Gold. You don't know what they are. because you simply doesn't know a signle thing about Saint Seiya, you've neither read or watched it. The fact is I knew saint Seiya even before you were born. You're just a fake.

"but you put in your theory about Saga's spirit as same based on the similar "blackness" in manga" : because it was implied by Kurumada himself in the manga, because when Ikki witnessed Shun's transformation, Kurumada made him like it to what happened to Saga.

And anyway, linking to identical phenomenon is not a "crime". I'm thus perfectly right.

"then who are you to reject other people's theory that it could also be Ares' spirit based on the sounding of Japanese word Arles to Ares?" : because contrary to you, I know Saint Seiya and I know japanese, and I know Arles hasn't anything to do with Ares. I explained it all to you. But it seems you are still fearing to admit the truth. And also, because your claim isn't based on anything. Plus, you dared to delete the perfectly valid theory about hades. Who are you to do that ? You're nothing. You don't even know saint Seiya !

"I could care less if you edit people's input or adding your own theory with any bit of speculation" : I'm adding the right speculation based on existing facts.

I'm supressing dumb theories based on nothing but the deranged minds of their "authors" like you.

"but to only enforce the rules on others and not yourself, that's hyporcritic!" : There's nothing hypocritic because I respect every rule, which isn't the case. What I've added was indisputably proved, contrary to you.

If you don't like Wikipedia rules, don't come here. Above all if you're going to rant every time someone modifies your eroneous edits.

Now, case closed. Don't bother me anymore with your child tantrums. Folken de Fanel 10:45, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ha

[edit]

There's no insult, only the truth.

On Wikipedia, you HAVE to justify your contribution (I'm not going to say "knowledge" because it has been established you have no knowledge).

You are the only ignorant here, since you've never read and never watched Saint Seiya. You don't even know what the Jump Gold are !! But I know Saint Seiya, so I'll always prevent ignorants like you to vandalise the articles.

You think the world revolves around you, because you made all these rants and tantrums and you threatened me when I corrected your horrible mistakes. But you're starting to realize that's not the case, that you are in fact nothing .

Your insulting comments have been deleted because they poluted my talk page. I've already proven I was right and I knew better than you. That's enough to me: the person who will read our discussion will immediatly understand that I've won and that you're only a kid making a trantrum. Your comments don't do any harm to me, only to you, they're just ridiculous and they are poluting my talk page, and I won't let you vandalise it.

Now like I said, stop harassing me, accept your utter defeat and do not come back here again, or else you're going to have serious problems with the administrators. Folken de Fanel 09:10, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are better than I am? Yeah, that sounded real mature and holy than thou. Insulting people only shows truth in what a jerkass you are. I made no threat to you, I only point out your unfair, self absorbed control on the article. Yeah, real adult would say stuff like, "I've won". I don't need to make any proof to you that I have read Jump Gold or not nor my knowledge in Saint Seiya.

To point out your unfairness as to the "black hair" issue I will restate that, yes, Ikki did said Shun's hair color changing is like what happened during the Saga's event, but only in comparsome as to point out that hair color changing happened caused by possession of certain evil spirit. But make no mistake that he did not make any ref as to this is the same spirit as the one that posessed Saga and we can be sure from certain events during the whole story.

1. The "Yours Ever" necklace. Pandora gave to Shun as baby saying this will make link with Hades no matter where Shun hides. As Shun is "chosen" to be Hades' body here on earth. There's a reason Hades choose Shun (gentle spirit and what author would say etc.). Since they make it a point to have such important necklace for Shun, why in the world would Hades go around and posess Saga. "Oh, since Shun is not adult yet, let me just make a pit stop at Saga's first". That controdict the point of having such necklace.

2. If Saga's evil spirit is the same as the one that possessed Shun which everyone know is Hades' spirit. As a GOD who commands 108 hell warriors himself, why in the world would he conceal his truth identity during the time in sanctuary? Hades! GOD! Great power!! No need to hide!!!

3. Hair color of possession is similar but posession reaction is different. Saga's "good" self still shows up every now and then, shows that he still have somewhat of a hold on himself and the spirit that posessed him did not take over completely and he can even make conversation to the evil part. But with Shun, it's a complete take over. Shun barely, just barely resurfaced again when Ikki showed up. If anyone's possessed by a god like spirit, I would say no one would be able to gain, if any bit of control back at all like Shun. So here anyone can see that it's not the same spirit.

I made it all clear here, your theory does not have sufficient info to make a link regarding to "Hades" but you can say that they were both possessed by outside spirits.

If your unfairness proceeds, I will certainly talk to Wiki authorities myself and save you that trip. Yajaec 16:37, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Yeah, that sounded real mature and holy than thou." : Yes, and who said to me "I was reading the Saint Seiya manga and watching the animation way before you were born". Already forgotten ?
"Insulting people only shows truth in what a jerkass you are." : I've never insulted you. But you've just insulted me in this sentence.
"I made no threat to you" : you tried to prevent me from editing the articles.
"I only point out your unfair, self absorbed control on the article." : Everything I've done is fair. I have no control over the article, but everyone can edit them, including me. I've edited what you added only because it was false. So you cannot say anything.
"I don't need to make any proof to you that I have read Jump Gold or not nor my knowledge in Saint Seiya. " : of course you don't need, it's so obvious you haven't read them.
"To point out your unfairness" : there is no unfairness, the basis of Wikipedia is that anyone can edit it. Accept it.
"Since they make it a point to have such important necklace for Shun, why in the world would Hades go around and posess Saga. "Oh, since Shun is not adult yet, let me just make a pit stop at Saga's first". That controdict the point of having such necklace. " : No that doesn't contradict anything. Shun wasn't ready, Hades could have used another body while waiting for him. And what better body than Saga's, "pure as a god" ?
"As a GOD who commands 108 hell warriors himself, why in the world would he conceal his truth identity during the time in sanctuary? Hades! GOD! Great power!! No need to hide!!!": Saga has most of the time control over his body.
"3. " : so it's the same thing. Shun resurfaced, as Saga.
"If anyone's possessed by a god like spirit, I would say no one would be able to gain, if any bit of control back at all like Shun" : but Shun is weak and young. Saga was a powerfull and experienced Gold Saint.
"So here anyone can see that it's not the same spirit." : No. You simply have no proof.
"I made it all clear here" : No. To be clear, you need PROOF, not vague assumptions and interpretations.
" your theory does not have sufficient info to make a link regarding to "Hades"" : It has. That you don't want to admit it isn't my problem.
"If your unfairness proceeds" : there's nothing unfair is using Wikipedia as it was intended. You are not perfect, you're edits are not perfect, they can be changed.
"I will certainly talk to Wiki authorities myself and save you that trip." : See ? Your still threatening me. But it will never work. And now stop harassing me. Or else, Wikipedia authorities will block you. Folken de Fanel 17:33, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

You have not provided any fact. What you said was erroneous. Folken de Fanel 23:15, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Technically speaking it's a fact (if you don't modify the manga sentences like you did). But I haven't asked for any fact. I want a fact that proves your point.
This doesn't prove anything, besides that Hades was already on Earth 13 years ago. Which is the opposite of what you claimed.
So, where are your facts ? Folken de Fanel 23:25, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please, don't pretend you don't understand the situation.
You're making all this fuss because you say you have "solid facts" proving that Saga wasn't possessed by Hades, I still wait for them.
What you are showing is just a random part of the dialogue, proving nothing. And you think you'll go unnoticed with that, and you'll be able to edit the Saga article again ? NO WAY.
"You have no bases to proove that I am wrong" : I have. But you have no base to prove you're right. Oh, and I remind you we're still talking about Saga's possession. Otherwise it would be to easy, if you could win with any random fact. You could have said "Saori's last name is Kido", it would have been the same. It's technically a fact, but it doesn't prove anything about what we're discussing.
You have no fact, so maybe you could just drop the case. You're becoming boring. Folken de Fanel 23:50, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I saw what you wrote in "my talk" about my Saint Seiya profiles. I'm glad that someone likes what I did. I just made Aiolos' profile (and someone edited it a bit XD but now it's better). I hope to continue making new profiles. How can we edit the character area? we should add more characters, like spectres and, G characters, and so...

Greeting, from Peru (actually I live in the U.S.) - I have expanded a bit on Gemini Kanon, giving much more details to the story as to what happened before the fall of Poseidon and how was the information divulged from him - through Ikki's Gen Ma Ken. I also created the Capricorn Shura text writing almost 97% of the text. I have also wrote Kraken Isaac. Oh and yes, I do agree on the Pope ARES thing - yeah - I don't think it is the God of War Ares, that's debatable - but what I do think is not debatable is ARES, and btw - I take Elementary Japanese I - pay no attention to that guy, he's just annoying. I won't call him another bastard, because he's another brother of SS, but he is just annoying.

Anyways - any tips in uploading new pics? I wish to replace some of the pics - including the ones in Gemini Saga - to give him a more updated look from better pic, with higher rez in which could see his true features. I also wish to add some pics to my upcoming Sea Generals - I will be writing most of the text from them. And also - can you show me how to make new pages - especially for the Gods - Saori Kiddo, Athena - and Julian Solo, Poseidon. I think they should also have their own page. I will be writing text for Julian Solo soon. Anyways - BURN COSMO!! PEGASUS...eerrm...that is so...overused

Thanks for uploading Image:Pisces face.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

Fair use rationale for Image:TGMK2PS2.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:TGMK2PS2.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Videmus Omnia 17:13, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Merak beta hagen.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Merak beta hagen.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:50, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sagittariuscloth.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sagittariuscloth.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 12:56, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
