Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Canton Jones, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jasper Deng (talk) 04:41, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jasper Deng (talk) 04:42, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Yolanda fan. It would appear that an official welcome is long overdue, so welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

I've reverted the change you made to Neal Brennan's date of birth. You may not have noted that there were 3 articles cited as references next to the approximate year of birth that was cited in his article prior to your edit; by simply changing the information preceding these cited references you may give the false impression to visitors of that article that "October 1973" is supported by said references. You also mentioned in your edit summary that you heard Brennan state that he was born in "October 1973" on his own podcast, however — as mentioned in discussions on his article's Talk page — there have been contradictory reports regarding Brennan's age, including in his own words.

In addition, as per Wikipedia's policies and procedures, one should only include content that is verifiable and that is cited from reliable sources. This is of particular importance when dealing with articles that are biographies of living persons where one should avoid primary or self-published sources. While one might assume that we could count on Brennan's own words, the fact is sometimes people are mistaken about their own age or may even purposefully misstate it.

If you have not done so already, you might consider looking at the following links, which you might find helpful:
