[edit]To get my signature multicolored took a looooooooooooong time to do, if you type one piece of code wrong it messes it up. I asked another user how they got their signature like that and they just told me to read WP:SIG first. So I did, didn't help, but I can show you the code I have and it might help you to just remove my name and put in yours and change the colors around, or change the font etc. etc. ok lets see if this works
<font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="hotpink">♫Twinkler4♫</font> <font color="limegreen">(Talk to me!)</font></font>
ok, now if I put that up there without the No wiki format it would look like this ♫Twinkler4♫ (Talk to me!)
If we type this
<font face="Bradley Hand ITC"><font color="orange">Zliang</font> <font color="skyblue">(Talk to me!)</font></font>
It would look like this
Now I am just going to try a bunch of different things to your signature, if you want to see the code just go to "edit page" and you'll see where it is
If you want to test out a bunch of signatures, consider getting your own sandbox to play around in. How to make your own sandbox is to type User:ZLiang/Sandbox into the search box it will say something like "Wikipedia does not have a user page with this exact name" click "Start the User:ZLiang/Sandbox page" now this is your own personal sandbox to test whatever you want in. To see more about User subpages go to WP:SUB
Ok, once you've figured out what you want your signature to look like, go to "My preferences in the upper right hand corner. In the section "User profile" go to the signature box, put the code for your signature there, by Copy and Paste. And make sure that you check the "Raw signature" box before saving. Now test out your signature in your sandbox and thats pretty much it! And you can change your signature whenever you want! --♫Twinkler4♫ (Talk to me!) 14:52, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hmm, check the signature again, the first time I tried my signature and it worked in my sandbox and in wikipedia but it wouldn't work in my signature , it came up with the same warning. I checked through it again and compared it to another user and one slash (/) caused it to not work, one piece of the code that is incorrect will mess up the signature. --♫Twinkler4♫ (Talk to me!) 22:41, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

New User Page!
[edit]ZLiang,
Hi! You don't know me but I'm a random Wikipedia editor that gets frustrated with normal article editing from time to time, and when I need a break from editing I pick a random user page to redesign if I think the person might like a redesign because it is fun for me and releaves stress. I like to do it as a surprise. So ...the other day I picked you and today I've completed your new page. What I did was take all the information on your page and correct wikilinks so they pointed to the right articles, in addition to correcting grammar and spelling mistakes that I noticed. Once this was done I reorganized the layout of your page and categorized your user boxes and added background colors and whatnot. I really hope you enjoy it. I picked a random color scheme (blues) that I hope you like, if not that could always easily be changed and you can tell me what color you would rather have. If I in any way overstepped my bounds or you just totally don't like it, please feel free to revert your page back to how you had it. Your new page is (currently) located here. In the next few moments I will be copying your new page and all of its subpages to your userspace so please bear with me. Thanks! Cheers, --Naha|(talk) 04:14, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ok its all finished being copied over now! The only thing left for me to do is create a directory of your subpages so you can easily get to them to edit them in the future if need be. Besides that, its done! Please let me know what you think. --Naha|(talk) 04:56, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Re your comment on Sango's page: (copied from my response on Sango's talk page) Hi ZLiang, the code for your new userpage was originally created by Sango (I found it on another person's user page), so I felt it apppropriate to credit him for that. That being said, and not for the sole reason of being a "credit hog," but more for the purpose of clarification because Sango might be confused about this, I was the one who overhauled your userpage, not Sango. I left a lengthy explanation for the re-design on your talk page which I guess you somehow missed. Also, I'm not a "guy" and the reason behind the line about being a "sneaky code theif" was two fold: 1) I did borrow the wonderful code from Sango for your page and 2) it was an attempt at humor because I redesigned your page as a surprise for you, without asking (and was praying you would like it and not be mad) ..again, this is also explained on your talk page. I guess I'm a tad hurt too, as I've been waiting for ages for you to log back on to find out if you like your userpage and Sango (who is very deserving of it for creating the code at one time, don't get me wrong) was the sole reciever of your thank you message but was in no other way involved in your userpage redesign. While I don't do it for "thanks" (but rather when I get tired of normal editing, I need a "fun" project for a change of pace ..and what better way than to pimp a userpage for someone "in need"), it would be nice to be at least acknowledged if thanks is being given out I guess. I'm not a code wiz like some people and it took me a great deal of time to adapt his code to suit your page. I'm glad you like the work I did, Sango has not edited Wikipedia for overa year. --Naha|(talk) 21:01, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Announcement
[edit]Hello! I'm The Arbiter, one of the coordinators for WikiProject Zoo. I am proud to announce the launch of a new portal: Portal:Zoos and Aquariums! ZooPro, ZooFari, and I worked hard to create a new portal for information on zoos, aquariums, and the associated projects and articles on Wikipedia. If you could head on over, take a look at our work, and maybe learn some more about zoos and Wikiproject Zoo, it would be great! Cheers and Happy Editing!
