Disambiguation link notification for August 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Béla Las-Torres, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Castelnuovo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you recently removed content from Péter Gulácsi without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hi. I didn't actually remove any content, I only changed the order of parameters to align more with the example set out on the template page (Template:Infobox football biography). All my changes were minor and customary. I will be careful with my future edits. Thanks for your message! Zsovar3 (talk) 02:51, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Links
[edit]Hi, country names should not be linked per the manual of style, see MOS:OVERLINK --FMSky (talk) 02:21, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
Hi. I don't exactly know which of my edits you are currently referring to, but the guidelines only rule out "big", well-known countries (e. g. US, UK, Canada, etc). Countries like Hungary – which most of my edits are related to – are generally always linked, at least once in the infobox or more rarely in the lead (e.g. Viktor Orbán, Katalin Karikó, etc). If I made a mistake, my bad, I will try to pay more attention in the future. Thanks for your message! Zsovar3 (talk) 02:40, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
Hungarian politicians
[edit]Hi! If your time and mood allow, don't you want to create or expand articles about Hungarian politicians and parties? I used to create as many articles as possible during the 2010-14 cycle, but since then I have focused more on the history of medieval Hungary. For some parties, too, it would be good to expand and update the text, e.g. LMP, where there is no longer any information on what happened after 2018 (disintegration, conflicts, exits, election failures). I do not even mention that Viktor Orbán's article would have to be completely restructured once, especially with regard to his post-2010 term. --Norden1990 (talk) 15:59, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
Hi! First of all, thank you for all the work you have done, I cannot imagine how much time it must have taken. I currently have some plans to improve/create articles on Hungarian politics, but I do not feel confident enough in my editorial skills to make significant changes to already existing ones (e.g. Viktor Orbán). Unfortunately, I find working on enwiki much harder than on huwiki, because edits are (sometimes) reverted with no or little explanation, and (some) editors seem to find messages/questions on their talk pages offensive. I think it would be ideal if all politicians who got elected had their own articles, that is what I am planning to work on in the near future. I will probably improve the article on MEMO and create one on NÉP, but do not take my words for granted. Thanks for your message! – Zsovar3 (talk) 22:15, 10 April 2022 (UTC)

Unit conversions
[edit]Greetings, I took my lead from this [1] which has litres in lower case. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 07:29, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi. Going through my contributions, I could not identify the edit you are referring to, and I do not recall ever having dealt with units of measurement. If I made a mistake, my bad, thank you for bringing it to my attention! – Zsovar3 (talk) 15:55, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

[edit]I opened a discussion on the talk page to ensure consistency of the "doping allegations' section with WP:ROC, WP:TOPIC or WP:TOOMUCH. Let's discuss there - it should be possible to find consensus. Cheers,Henry Kaspar (talk) 18:16, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
Links contributions
[edit]Hi, from what I see, you are very active and you add valuable content, keeping it clean of trolls, on the Wikipedia page of the Romanian Football Referee Istvan Kovacs, for this I can say thank you. But I don't understand why you choose to cite with links of articles in Hungarian language instead of articles in English. Yes, I know, you are from Hungary, but please understand that they are not relevant for most of us. If there are articles availale in English, I think it is a matter of common sense to use English links on the English Wikipedia page. Thank you. 14matei14 (talk) 10:04, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
Please refer to WP:RSUE if you have questions about the use of non-English sources. – Zsovar3 (talk) 11:48, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
- "Citations to non-English reliable sources are allowed on the English Wikipedia. However, because this project is in English, English-language sources are preferred over non-English ones when they're available and of equal quality and relevance."
- Exactly. English-language sources are preferred over non-English ones 14matei14 (talk) 13:01, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
- I would also focus on the rest of the sentence: "when they're available and of equal quality and relevance." When there is a reliable, third-party English-language source, citing it over non-English alternatives should not lead to any dispute. But when there are none, the use of reliable, third-party non-English sources is preferable even to English-language sources of questionable quality. For example, the Daily Star article you cited, although written in English, did not meet the verifiability criteria as the source was deprecated in a 2020 RfC (see WP:DAILYSTAR). If you know of reliable, independent English-language sources that can corroborate the information cited in the article from non-English sources, feel free to add them. Personally, I am grateful for any contribution that aims to improve the quality of the article. – Zsovar3 (talk) 15:21, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
