[edit]Have you read the AMA FAQ?
- Answer: yes
How would you describe the nature of this dispute? (policy violation, content dispute, personal attack, other)
- Answer: content dispute/repeatedly being threatened w/ speedy deletion by a page patroller while I am trying to improve article.
What methods of Dispute Resolution have you tried so far? If you can, please provide wikilinks so that the Advocate looking over this case can see what you have done.
- Answer: we have communicated in messaging repeatedly, however, tone is too contentious for me (sorry, I don't know how to provide wiki link, but I have conversations saved in my messages,,,,
What do you expect to get from Advocacy?
- Answer: I would simply like the opportunity to revise and complete my article without having a (rather young) page-patroller out there who seems intent on removing my article.
Summary:
[edit]I am just trying to contribute an article on a somewhat rare Italian cymbalmaker/workshop from the 60's....apparently, my article caught the eye of this rather young "patroller" who very quickly flagged it for speedy deletion twice, without first providing me with any useful/helpful suggestions or commentary. I have posted a revised article the third time, and his tone of communication is still very confrontational; he has once again threatened me with speedy deletion, although after reviewing the speedy deletion guidleines, I do not feel the article warranst speedy deletion at this point. Am a bit taken aback by the aggressiveness of this "patroller" and would appreciate more of a measured/helpful response from Wikipedia members....this hasn't been a pleasant experience thus far; am a bit shocked at the atmosphere here, if this is a typical situation.....
