Discussion
[edit]The function description is inadequate. Jc3s5h (talk) 16:27, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry, but I could barely understand in English :).
- Bot to add Russian interwiki, if it is absent in the english article
- In the Russian Wikipedia is invoked with parameters -new and -start:!--Iluvtr (talk) 17:47, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Using the Babel scale (en-1, en-2, en-3, ...) how would you rank your ability to read and write English? Do you believe you would be able to respond to concerns about your bot? Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:50, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- en-1 + gogole translator :)
- With a script interwiki.py (-autonomous) of the big problems should not be. If the bot does something not so, he will be stopped.
- To understand short technical messages not the problem.--Iluvtr (talk) 22:29, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Not sure what is inadequate about function description, as the user has given more info than most interwiki BRFAs if you look through the history. As long as the user responds to queries, language barrier should not be a problem. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 22:34, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Make sure you read WP:INTERWIKIBOT. What namespaces (article, category, etc.) will the bot edit? (You can answer in Russian if you prefer to avoid misunderstandings.) — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 22:34, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Bot will be launched with the parameter -namespace:0. (In Russian: Бот будет запускаться с параметром -namespace:0))--Iluvtr (talk) 22:49, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I also think answering in Russian is fine here. The user has a bot on Russian wikipedia for a few months, editing there for a bit over a year and doesn't appear to be overdoing anything. I'm fine with a Russian language interwiki linking bot on English wikipedia by a user with limited English skills. Be careful about putting the links in the correct articles with your limited English. If it's technically okay, at least a trial would be okay, in my opinion. --72.208.2.14 (talk) 00:47, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Approved for trial (30 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 07:59, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Trial complete.--Iluvtr (talk) 11:06, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Approved. No problems (I fixed one issue, due to Russian WP having bad interwikis). Typical pywiki bot. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 14:27, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
