Scope

The scope of this page is an effort to standardise the design of deletion message boxes. That is, message boxes that go on the top of pages with content that is nominated for deletion. Next to articles, this includes images, categories and templates. This is an attempt to standardise all deletion related message boxes. Ideally, the should match the ambox design in terms of basic design and stacking compatibility, but should stand out in such a way that the message is recognized as a deletion related message; ambox with a twist if you will...

Talk page templates were already standardised last year, see Wikipedia:Talk page templates. Project namespace templates such as the box on the top of this page are not within the scope of this standardisation effort.

Current deletion messages

Please do not edit the templates in this section; they have been substituted and de-categorised, and are here to display their current layout only. Please create a new section for proposals.

{{AfD}} and all speedy deletion templates has already been redesigned, as they also fall under Wikipedia:Article message boxes. {{Mfd}} has been semi-transformed to 'ambox' for the purpose of matching the AfD template, but the design is still under discussion. All other templates have not been standardised yet.
