My second for the FL Contest. I will address any concerns left. iMatthew (talk) 19:10, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Citations are needed in the history section. As well, the lead should give statistics such as number of winners, number of times awarded, etc. See Hart Memorial Trophy for some ideas. -- Scorpion0422 19:16, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I totally forgot about that!!! Right on it. iMatthew (talk) 19:17, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- And please remove all of the fair use images from the page and while you're at it, it would be great if you could find some sourcing information for Image:8512 23539 5.jpg. -- Scorpion0422 19:18, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Can you help me a bit - I need to source the prose, but all of my sources are in the "general" sources section. Should I list the same refs in general and in the prose? iMatthew (talk) 19:20, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Just use citations as well as the general ref (that way, people will know what the specific source is). For example, the Hart Trophy uses [2] as both a citation in the history section and a general ref. -- 19:31, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- I added the refs, but I am not good with images - at all. What do I need to do with the Award picture. iMatthew (talk) 19:48, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The current image just has a PD licensing tag without any information about where it came from. Try contacting the uploader and see if he can add a source. -- Scorpion0422 20:20, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment - I gave a pre-FLC review on the talk page, if you didn't see it earlier.--SRX 21:25, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Well I think you got all my comments on the pre-flc review, but the award itself needs to be in bold per WP:LEDE. Also, is there no external link to a website about the award itself?--SRX 15:06, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Done, and nope. iMatthew (talk) 15:09, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comments- http://armchairgm.com/index.php?title=Cy_Young_Award is a wiki-type source. What makes it reliable?
- What makes http://www.athomeplate.com/awardshistory.shtml reliable?
- Same with http://www.hickoksports.com/history/cyyoung.shtml.

- Removed all. iMatthew (talk) 23:10, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Support The article looks nice as whole but to my mind if there any possibility to cite one or two other sources it would be better. --Gligan (talk) 11:46, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Something is wrong with the disambiguation sentence/link at the top: "For other users, see Cy Young (disambiguation)." Users?Link Baseball Commissioner.- "league city" What is a league city?
- Needs a definition too. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:16, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"The current formula started with the 1970 season" "with"-->in.- "Prior to that"-->Before that...
- You didn't fix this. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:16, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"From 1956 to 1958, a pitcher was not allowed to win the award on more than one occasion, though, that rule was lifted in 1959."-->From 1956 to 1958, a pitcher was not allowed to win the award on more than one occasion; that rule was lifted in 1959.the first-place vote receiving five points, the second-place vote receiving three points, and the third-place vote receiving one point, a system still in use." Use the past tense instead: "the first-place vote received five points, the second-place vote received three points, and the third-place vote received one point, a system still in use."The first recipient of the award was Don Newcombe, while the most recent winners were Jake Peavy, from the National League, and C.C. Sabathia, from the American League." "while"-->and.- Use en dashes in the headings.
- Section headings (ie National League (1967-present)), not image captions. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:16, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- The formula shouldn't be in the lead, in my opinion. An option would be placing it in the note section.
- The note probably needs a reference.
- Endash should be used for the years in the winner section. (e.g. (1956-1966))
More comments
- The lead only has one reference. It would be great if the lead has more references.
- The "List of Cy Young Award winners" heading should be just "Winners"
- Where is the note about Sutcliffe? Why was it remove?
—Chris! ct 18:54, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I got everything else (adding some references in there), and I couldn't find one reliable source for it, so I was forced to remove it. iMatthew (talk) 19:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
