I am nominating this page as a featured list candidate because I believe it meets the standards for a Featured list. It was long overdue also :) All thoughts and comments are welcome. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 16:59, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose, for now. Good work, but I found too many little issues...- In August, the active picked up somewhat, with the Central Pacific having its first and only depression of the year and four tropical storms, two of which became hurricanes, forming in the Easter Pacific. - "Active picked up"?
- The strongest storm of the season was Hurricane Kenneth, who's remnants briefly threatened Hawaii near the end of the month. - "Who's" → "Whose".
- Activity sharply dropped off in October as only one tropical depression formed, it being the last storm of the season. - Awkward.
- Hurricane Adrian is weakens to a Tropical Storm. - "Is weakens"? Also, don't capitalize "Tropical Storm", "Tropical Depression", or "Hurricane", unless part of a storms' name.
- Tropical Storm Adrian is weakens to a Tropical Depression. - Again, "is weakens".
- Tropical Storm Beatriz is weakens to a Tropical Depression. - Again.
- Links to jargon are needed; notably, Intertropical Convergence Zone.
- Links look fine.

- Fixed the "is weakens", de-capitalized tropical depression, tropical storm, and hurricane. Also ITCZ is linked on August 17 for the demise of Tropical Storm Greg. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:16, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Looks good, thanks for the quick response. I'll take another look soon. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 17:19, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- No problem, same to you, for the review I mean. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:22, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comments from Dabomb87 (talk · contribs)
- "The timeline also includes information which was not operationally released, meaning that information from post-storm reviews by the National Hurricane Center, such as information on a storm that was not operationally warned on, have been included." has been included, "information" is singular.
- "Most of June was quiet until the end of the month when two tropical storms developed." Comma after month.
- "In August, the activity picked up somewhat, with the Central Pacific having its first and only depression of the year and four tropical storms,"-->In August, the activity picked up somewhat; the Central Pacific had its first and only depression of the year and four tropical storms,
- "Easter Pacific" What is that?
- "September was the most active month of the year with six tropical storms forming, four of which became hurricanes, and two of the hurricanes strengthened further to become major hurricanes, the only two of the year." Don't use the with + -ing sentence structure, it is awkward.
- All web references with PDF links need to have PDF entered into the format field in the cite template. Dabomb87 (talk) 01:37, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I've addressed all but the last two issues. I'm not sure what you mean by "+ -ing sentence structure" and how to add PDF into the format field of the cite template. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 11:08, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I fixed those myself. Dabomb87 (talk) 12:51, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Please note that there is an error with the timeline image with an unknown cause. The text within the image for some reason is not showing. It's already been reported so hopefully it'll be fixed soon. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 22:15, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comments:
- You've got a busted link - looks like a typo.
- These additions of when the remains dissipated are definitely not necessary.
- Move Adrian's picture up and put a pic for June.
- "Both the Eastern and Central Pacific hurricane seasons end" - does not sound right. Please reword.
- Possibly remove the tracks and replace them with pictures?
- Um, why are there colons in UTC time?
- Nothing interesting from advisories?
- I think I brought this up, but why are the dates bolded? On my computer its an eyesore.
I will support once definite work is done to the article. Good luck.Mitch32(UP) 22:01, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Most of the structure of this article follows the two FL's for EPac timelines, 2006 and 2007, save the remnant low dissipations. I'll remove the dissipations, but the bolding of dates is consistent throughout the rest of the articles. Also, by busted link, do you mean a reference or a wikilink? All the official information comes from the TCR's, not advisories. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 22:07, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Wikilink - see the lone red link.Mitch32(UP) 22:09, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Found and fixed it. I've also added an image for June and reworded the last sentence. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 22:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Support - nicely done. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 21:58, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
