Reason: A reasonably high-quality carte-de-visite photograph by the sultan's official photographer. Not that that's in the article yet; I really need to make one on Sébah & Joaillier. It was an interesting cleanup job: there was blue fibres stuck to the lower right, and brown marks across the middle. Hence why I haven't had a lot of nominations this week.

FP category for this image: Well, a sultan is both a religious, royal, and political figure... I'd say Wikipedia:Featured pictures/People/Royalty and nobility or Wikipedia:Featured pictures/People/Political are probably the most significant?
