The portal was promoted by User:Caulde 16:04, 8 October 2008 [1].
Self-nomination. See archived peer review (peer review was open for over a month with several notifications given but no comments). Stats: 28 Selected articles, all WP:FAs, 35 Selected biographies, all WP:FAs, 32 Selected pictures, all WP:FPs, 30 sets of 3 DYK hooks, all with free-use images, 20 Selected quotes, all with free-use images, and a Rotating In this month section. Things you can do has a cleanup listing, a new feature from WolterBot (talk · contribs), as well as a link to notability concerns, thanks to WP:WPNN. I believe the portal meets the standards for Featured Portal status.
Thanks to people from Wikipedia:WikiProject Gender Studies subproject, Feminism Task Force. Also special thanks to Durova for help with featured pictures, Awadewit for help finding selections and work on the In this month section, and of course Grrrlriot for creating the portal in the first place. - Support as conominator. Awadewit should be considered a conom as well, for all the hard work she put in. DurovaCharge! 05:29, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
CommentSupport The image on Portal:Feminism/Selected anniversaries/March was deleted. Would it be possible to replace it with another, possibly Image:Married Love Cover.jpg? --Jh12 (talk) 05:02, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Done. Thanks for the suggestion. Cirt (talk) 05:06, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks, looks good to me --Jh12 (talk) 05:16, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay, thanks for the support. Cirt (talk) 08:04, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Changed to the slightly more colorful Soviet 1932 8 March poster. Revert at will. Awadewit (talk) 13:39, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Support First, I want to say thanks Cirt for giving me credit for making the portal. Second, Thanks again Cirt for submitting the portal to peer review and now for nominating the portal as a featured portal. Also, Thanks to Durova for being a co-nominating the portal as a featured portal. I love how it looks. Thanks to everyone for making the portal bigger and better than it was. I think the portal is a good candidate for Wikipedia:FPORT. --Grrrlriot (♠ ♣ ♦ ♥ †) 21:44, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Support It's an important subject. I always looked for a such thing in En.wiki, but couldn't find it untill 3 days ago, accidentaly.--Taranet (talk) 21:34, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - before I do promote, could one of the involved contributors allow the WikiProjects box to be 100% wide, not 49% or whatever it may be. Currently, on IE8, the box means there is a large space to the left of it hopefully by making it the page width, it will reduce this somewhat. Caulde 14:36, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I tried it out but the spacing looks a bit too wide at 100% for that particular WikiProjects box in this portal - the standard at many other Featured Portals is actually 49%. And generally the trend has also been in other Featured portal candidacy discussions not to fail a portal simply due to a small amount of space displayed. I just purged the portal about 20 times and there really isn't that much space shown, if any, in most of the randomizations I saw. Cirt (talk) 18:26, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Hmph. It looks okay now, it must have been a problem before. I'll promote this in the morning. Caulde 20:11, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
