January 14, 2014: Introductory Wikipedia course with nine participants, who corrected several KITLV-related Wikipedia articles
January 21, 2014: Follow up Edit-a-thon: ten personnel create five new Wikipedia articles and update others, assisted by Arie Sonneveld and Hans Muller
Assessment of the extensive KITLV image collection on Asia, more than 2700 postcard images of historical Indonesia were reviewed for possible upload to Wikimedia Commons.
2,400 images donation - At this point the KITLV book and images collections had been transferred to Leiden University Library, which kindly joined this Wikimedia project by donating some 2,400 high resolution photograph scans. This subset consisted predominantly of nineteenth century images of Indonesia, British India including some pictures of historical Bangkok and was uploaded to Wikimedia Commons in April and May 2015 with captions in Bahasa Indonesia, English and Dutch languages.
