Tempest Anderson Project

Work on other Wikimedia projects There is obviously lots of scope to move beyond English Wikipedia and Commons. QRpedia The Wikipedian in Residence (PatHadley (talk)) and the YMT curators are working on a special display case to go in the Yorkshire Museum containing a range of YMT's materials with links to relevant Wikipedia articles. Other language Wikipedias Beyond the international scope of the Tempest Anderson collection there are particular other collections that may plug into other language Wikipedias. Japanese Embassy (sub-page for English speakers) Studio Pottery material has Anglo-Japanese links through Bernard Leach's residence in Japan and the relationship with Shōji Hamada. Spanish Embassy Roman-related materials, in particular the Legio IX Hispana may have links with or relevance to Spanish Wikipedia (or other Iberian languages) Italian Embassy Roman-related materials, in particular the Legio IV Victrix may have links with or relevance to Italian Wikipedia Simple Wikipedia It may be useful for YMT to consider relevant content on Simple Wikipedia. Particularly if this could plug into YMT's educational needs and help with the production/sharing of material for schools. Wikidata As a new initiative, it is important that YMT takes the opportunity to make the correct connections to WikiData at this stage. York Museums Trust Yorkshire Museum York Art Gallery William Etty York Castle Museum Museum Gardens St Mary's Abbey Wikiversity Very few GLAMwiki projects seem to have made contributions to Wikiversity but the opportunity to demonstrate various elements of Museums best practice would be excellent. Particularly as these can be used by GLAMS with few resources.
