Closing peer review importScript

Hello Help Desk hosts. Please review my edit to add importScript when closing a peer review. I've never closed a peer review, and I followed the directions, and this referenced page looks unusual to me. I hope I have not committed a grievous error, and apologize if that is so. The page you linked looks OK to me. The documentation of the script is linked from the top of the script page, and is at User:Writ Keeper/Scripts/peerReviewCloser. Does the script do the right thing when following the steps under "Usage" there? Enterprisey (talk!) 09:04, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Hello Enterprisey. I have not seen anything particularly wrong, but then I do not quite know what is supposed to happen. I suppose it is the red lettering that confused me; that is so often a bad sign on Wikipedia. I will trust that all is well enough and if there is required correction, then perhaps that editor can contact me so that I know how to properly edit this again. I opened a topic for discussion on the tweet template's talk page, but as it addresses a broader policy point, which page should I bring it up to in order to get some broader viewpoints? intake-analytics.wikimedia.org

Today every time I save or preview an article I get the message "Microsoft Edge not responding - waiting for intake-analytics,wikimedia.org. The resulting delay ranges from a few seconds to two or more minutes, making even a simple edit a time-wasting process. What is going on, and when will it be fixed? Override default infobox image to no image

See WaveRunner#Video game, where the {{Infobox video game}}'s default Wikidata image is the same as the image in the {{Infobox brand}} at the top of the article. The video game section shouldn't have that image because it is a picture of the actual watercraft.

How can the default parameter of the Infobox video game be overridden to be empty? Also, feel free to do it directly at WaveRunner (or ping me and I may get around to doing it). — MarkH₂₁^talk 10:26, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

When and how to flag a page to be watched for malicious/controversial edits?

Hi, I have been a contributor to the Metaverse page for some years. With Facebook's recent repositioning itself as a metaverse company, there are lots of edits happening on the page and I wondered when it was appropriate and how to request that the page be watched for malicious/controversial edits? Mostly I just want to make sure that the article is informative and helpful for people looking to understand what the concept means. Thank you so much! Fleep (talk) 12:12, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Change content model

Where can I request that an administrator or template editor change the content model of page in my user space. I don't have permission to permission to edit the content model of a page at Special:ChangeContentModel. I'd like it to be JSON instead of wikitext. Adding article

@Thecontentshark: Welcome to Wikipedia! Creating a new encyclopedia article is one of the hardest things to do on Wikipedia. To learn the basics of editing, you can visit Help:Introduction and take The Wikipedia Adventure. After you've invested a significant amount of time editing existing articles, you would then gather multiple independent WP:reliable sources about the person to determine if they meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, called "notability". If so, then you could follow the guidance at Help:Your first article. If you have any personal or professional relationship with the person, that would be a conflict of interest, which you would have to declare on your user page. Hope this helps, and happy editing! Definition of "winning season"

The term "winning season" is used 2,956 times on Wikipedia. I now understand it to mean a season in which a sport team won more than half of their games. However, this is not obvious, and I previously thought it might have meant something like making it to the playoffs, or being the best in a league. Other people may have this question too.

Now the problem is, I cannot find a definition for "winning season" from any reliable source on the internet. If you can find a source for defining this term, please add it to winning percentage with the definition given. —Lights and freedom (talk ~ contribs) 18:22, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Now that's odd. Winning season does mean winning more games than you lose, but I can find no formal definition. Maybe because it should be obvious? You can only get that by inference, e.g. Washington Football Team: "from 1946 to 1970, Washington posted just four winning seasons and never reached the postseason", which shows it has nothing to do with reaching the playoffs. @Lights and freedom: I think I have found a definition, but I don't want to edit the article as I know very little about US sport: "20 consecutive winning seasons ... For 20 straight years, the Dallas Cowboys finished above .500." TSventon (talk) 02:44, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

@Clarityfiend: Oh no, I wasn't saying it had any other meaning, I was saying that in certain contexts, a reader who didn't know the term might be not understand it. @Clarityfiend: some of the Wikipedia mentions of "winning season" are part of a longer phrase such as "championship winning season". Google books describes "My Winning Season", as "John Terry's own account of Chelsea's 2004/05 season, culminating in the championship". TSventon (talk) 10:47, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

UW template for misrepresenting sources

Is there a user-warning template (single or multi-level) for misrepresenting sources? I looked through Category:Standardised user warning templates and didn't find any, but there are hundreds and not all are intuitively named. Schazjmd (talk) 23:43, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
