Wikipedia:Huggle Wars
Appearance
This is an essay on Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines policy. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
Please note: This article is obsolete as latest versions of Huggle contain several fail safes and checks that make this almost impossible to happen. It is only relevant in case you are using some ancient Huggle version. |
Huggle Wars can occur when multiple editors using Huggle attempt to correct vandalism by hitting the "revert and warn" button at the same time. The first revert will work normally, but the second revert will revert to the vandalized version and inappropriately warn the first Huggle user.
Huggle Wars is an unfortunate occurrence. It can lead to removal of Huggle, rollback, and even a block for repeated offenses.
To avoid Huggle Wars, make sure to double check all of your reverts while using Huggle. Caution is especially important if you are an administrator, as you can block people with a keystroke or two.
