I just finished writing this article and I wanted to get some general suggestions on how it might be improved. I was hoping to get it ready for a GAN with the help of this feedback. Thanks, Phlsph7 (talk) 08:28, 2 December 2022 (UTC)

[edit]@Phlsph7: I think a major concern I have is how often Barnlund is referenced in the article. Since articles are supposed to be based on secondary sources, it might make this article more difficult to promote. I suggest continuing to look for additional sources and replace Barnlund whenever there's another source that verifies the information. Also, are there page numbers for refs 21 and 22?
I hope this helps. Perhaps an article on Dean Barnlund can be created? Z1720 (talk) 03:17, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Z1720 and thanks for the useful feedback. I've cut down the references to primary sources by over 50% and replaced them with secondary sources. Many of the remaining ones are needed for quotations or for some details in the examples mentioned. I'm not sure that much more can be done without altering the text. Could you take a second look to see if these changes are sufficient?
- I think a short article on Dean Barnlund would make sense. He is most famous for his transactional model of communication but he has also published on other topics in the field of communication. I'm currently busy with other things but I'll see if I can get to it at a later time. For now, I've created a redirect to Barnlund's model. Phlsph7 (talk) 13:45, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
