Chemin de fer de Petite Ceinture

This article was attributed a 'start'-level status not long after its creation, but it has much evolved since then. Some suggestions about how to bring it to 'good' (or better) quality would be welcome, too.

@ThePromenader, thanks for your edits to this article. It's very interesting! I find it fascinating how structures like this end up being a little microcosm of the larger historical changes around them. With regard to nominating for good article status, I can identify two areas of concern. One is (to me, as the lay reader) that I find the article difficult to read. I think this is because:

There are lots of parentheses for subclauses, eg Droite counterpart through a junction at Viroflay (in the suburbs to the southwest of Paris), the Rouen, Nord, Strasbourg, Orléans (then bankrupt, but state-sponsored) and Lyon companies. I suggest for most of these integrate them into the paragraph, use notes (see {{efn}}) or remove them. It makes it hard to follow long sentences.

I don't understand why long lists of stations that already have a location listed need parentheses of other things (are they locations or provinces?), and I expect many readers will be the same (eg Batignolles (Rouen), La Chapelle (Nord) and La Villette (Strasbourg-Est))

I don't speak French. Most language articles use templates such as {{lang-fr}} (French: de fer, lit. 'of iron') to highlight the English language equivalents.

I think the article could be more 'wikified' by including some wikilinks to simple overall concepts - things like passenger train, freight train, train station etc. This might help the uninitiated reader orientate themselves

Sometimes the grammar is a little confusing, eg. the 'Point du Jour' station at the end of a new bridge-viaduct across the river Seine, 'Grenelle' (where passengers could transfer to a shuttle to the Champ de Mars), Ouest-Ceinture (a transfer point with the Ouest lines to their 'Paris-Versailles Rive Gauche' station), 'Montrouge', 'Gentilly' (correspondence with the 'Paris-Sceaux' line to its Denfert-Rochereau terminus), 'Maison Blanche', and 'Orléans-Ceinture' (correspondence with the Orléans line to today's Gare d'Austerlitz). You give the names in capitals but also here use single quotation marks, I'm not sure why. Also there are lots of bracheted things highlighting my earlier issue.

Some titles are quite full-on, eg I - the Syndicated 'Chemin de Fer de Ceinture' (Rive Droite) - woah. Could this be simplified?

I can also see that the article has a few (but not very many) areas that are marked as needing citations.
