Article top-importance but C-quality article on a controversial subject. I could use advice from WP's best minds in improving it.

This is a very, very long article: more than 12,000 words long. It needs a severe trimming. I see it has been up for PR for well over a month with no takers. The excessive length may have as much to do with that as the subject. Tim riley talk 13:18, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
