I've listed this article for peer review because…I would appreciate feedback on this article to possibly elevate it to FA status. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Aoba47 (talk) 04:47, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Hello, this is the first time I've given a peer review for another article, so I apologize if it's rather incomplete. The article itself is pretty good (as expected for a good article). Perhaps my only suggestion which comes to mind is expanding the lede more, in line with other FAs. Also, could you add more information about reception: i.e. did the song chart on any major chart? - @Narutolovehinata5: Thank you for your comment! I will expand the lead when I have the time. Unfortunately, I believe that I have exhausted all the sources related to this song so I can't envision myself finding anything to further expand the Reception section. I will check and see if I can find anything else when I have the time, but I am not too hopeful about it to be honest. Also, the song was never released officially (there was a leak and a small portion of it was officially put up on YouTube) so it did not chart anywhere. Aoba47 (talk) 00:55, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: Is that the case? Then please add it to the article, preferably with a source. Also, a song by a major artist not being given an official release... that's an interesting thing. Not even on an official soundtrack or anything? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:10, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: I have already included the information about the song being unreleased in the "Promotion and music video" section and in the second paragraph of the lead. The song was included for the American trailer of the 2014 film Paddington and was featured on the ending credits for some releases of the film. When submitting the song for consideration for an Academy Award, the Weinstein Company (one of the film companies behind Paddington) did send the academy a CD with the song and I have seen several people selling them on eBay. Unfortunately, it is just a CD and it does not include any notes on the "Credits and Personnel" like recording dates or locations. I would have included some information about this release in the article, but I cannot find a reliable, credible source talking about it to back this up.
- The whole history behind this song is very odd, especially since Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams are two major artists and the film was a major release and the song was submitted for consideration for a major award. The only information I could dig up about this song was from a few interviews Stefani and Williams did after the song leaked and an older interview suggesting it was originally intended to be a No Doubt song (which makes things even more confusing), but otherwise neither artist addressed it ever again after those interviews or they never even performed it live.
- One of the main critiques from when I nominated this article from FAC was that I did not mine all the available sources for this song, but I am honestly not sure how much more is out there (especially when a majority of the articles either recycle the same quotes over and over again or have very little useful information). - Sorry for the long reply. I didn't realize how long it was until right now. Aoba47 (talk) 02:28, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Graham Beards: @AJona1992: Hello. Since both of you commented on the last two FACs for this article, I would really appreciate your feedback now that I have put this up for peer review. Thank you in advance. Aoba47 (talk) 02:16, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

- I don't suggest linking animation, it's a universal concept by now

- You say it remains unreleased digitally, but there are other formats; maybe changing it to "While a low-quality version leaked on December 31, 2014, a full version of the record remains unreleased for consumer consumption"

- Not done, you forgot the lead. – jona ✉ 17:45, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- You link universal concepts of YouTube, DVD, Blu-ray (which should be unlink; except YouTube) but not Peruvian?

- E! News is not a published publication, not sure why you italicized it

- I am only saying this because it has been brought up in my FAC and previous nominations, you should add an additional FUR for the sound sample file before someone else brings that up in the future.
