I want to get this to FA status if possible. I have addressed all points raised at the previous FAC review which was archived due to lake of commentary. I would like to be notified of any remaining issues with this article, so I can fix them before taking this back to FAC.

I was on the verge of joining in the FAC, but I can see why this has been brought back to PR. One major concern I have is the lack of references to the books written on him. I count at least three (auto)biographies that have been released, but they're very sparsely used here and some of the sections (early life for example) would benefit greatly from these. One of them is available freely HERE at the Internet Archive if that helps. A quick search brings up some basic facts that I would generally expect to be included too, he attended Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School,[1] he has an older brother (from the book), the names of his parents [2] etc. Kosack (talk) 08:33, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

Some tips from me with your references:

• For all your book citations, use the {{Sfn}} template and create a "Bibliography" section after "References". This is so when readers click on the reference, it jumps to the relevant book (see example here by clicking on 'Roberts 2004, p. 3')
• I second Kosack - use the auto(biographies) or other books as much as possible
• Ensure all your references (publication names) are consistent, eg. should all instances of BBC Sport should be italicised?
• If author names and publication dates are available, add them
• Avoid using ALL CAPS in your references (you've got "AWARDS DOUBLE FOR RANGERS")  Done
• At FA, someone will review the references quite thoroughly, so it's important to get it right :P

I apologize for being short on time, limited commentary:

• You can install User:GregU/dashes.js to keep your hyphens and endashes in order.
• You can install User:Ohconfucius/script/MOSNUM dates to keep your date formatting consistent.
• You can install User:Evad37/duplinks-alt to check for duplicate links; there are many, but some of them may be necessary, so what to remove is a judgment call.
• Sample, "team of the year 2007". UEFA.com ... why no uppercase on Team?
• Most of the use of the word however in the article is not indicated: see overuse of however and User:John/however.
• Most of the use of the word also is redundant; see User:Tony1 writing exercises.
• Punctuation on captions needs review per MOS:CAPTIONS, sample, Gerrard in August 2014. The 2014–15 season was his last for Liverpool should end in punctuation.
• Vary the sentence structure and reading ... notice these subsequent sentences, as an example:
  • He has an older brother Paul.
  • He started out playing for his hometown team Whiston Juniors ...
  • He joined the Liverpool Academy at age nine.
  • His childhood footballing heroes were John Barnes ...
  • He almost never played football.
