Appearance
The White-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta carolinensis) is a small songbird found in North America. The adult birds are about 155 mm (6 in.) long. They forage on the trunk and large branches of trees, often descending head first. Their principal diet consists of insects and a few varieties of seeds.
