Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Brenda Biya[edit]
Reason: Biya has recently received international media coverage (see below) over her coming out. She already has an article on the French Wikipedia, which I have translated at Draft:Brenda Biya. Coverage:

- I imagine that article would become a lightening rod for BLP-violating content. I agree even the draft is WP:BLP1E; any coverage is due to her being the daughter of Paul Biya.-- Ponyobons mots 18:55, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- I believe the article covers several notable aspects from her life. The fact that she is the daughter of a world leader, the accusations of lavishness according to the press, her eviction from the Parisian hotel by the anti-Sardinard Brigade, her controversial comments as noted in the press since 2020, and her coming out which has been noted in the international media. As far as I am aware, this figure has consistently received attention from reliable sources for several years now. ―Howard • 🌽33 11:05, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- So I don't understand how the person is to be considered as only having 1 notable event. ―Howard • 🌽33 11:22, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- How much of this coverage would she have received if not for her parents? Being the daughter of a world leader is not itself grounds for notability, accusations of lavishness are par for the course for the families of top politicians, and coming out of the closet is something the LGBTQIA+ community does regularly enough that it's only news because of her parents. That leaves the hotel eviction as the only event involving her that could possibly help for notability, and in cases like this where the subject is and remains a private person we err towards not having an article. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v threads critiques 17:24, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
