This navbox is already quite big and will get bigger in the future, which already is a problem. It is also the subject of WP:TCREEP as can be seen on pages such as Joe Montana or Lawrence Taylor, which already have many navboxes. In addition, there is already a list for that here and there is a mention of the HoF induction in every individual's page. – Sabbatino (talk) 17:21, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sabbatino I see where you are getting but then the Template:Canadian Football Hall of Fame members, Template:Baseball Hall of Fame members, Template:National College Baseball Hall of Fame, Template:Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and Template:National Soccer Hall of Fame members templates should also be deleted. I think that Lizard and WikiOriginal-9 should be in on this cause they know better than me. – RoyalsLife 20:40, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Keep Incredibly useful template to navigate quickly between HOFers. The size of the template shouldn't matter as it is closeable anyway. By your last line of logic also we should get rid of all other award templates since they too are also mentioned on every individuals page and have their own lists. Get rid of garbage like Template:Rams MVP, Template:Steve Largent Award, Template:1969–1994 All-America Team or Template:NFL punting yards leaders not important awards and usable templates like this. Those are TCREEP not this.--Yankees10 00:09, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Keep I agree with Yankees10 with team MVP/ROY awards like with the Rams and the Steelers. However the Template:1969–1994 All-America Team and Template:NFL punting yards leaders are useful. The Quarter Century team should be kept only because it has to do with the All-American teams. Would we get rid of those too? If we get rid of the punting yards leaders then we have to get rid of the passing, rushing, and receiving yards leaders along with passing, rushing, and receiving touchdowns templates. I say keep those too and get rid of team stuff. – RoyalsLife 02:30, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Keep per above. American football has a major following, and giving the readers a quick guide to who has achieved Hall of Fame status in that sport, especially in the format which shows the historical perspective between eras, provides a useful service. Little or no navigational use, contains only three links and one of those is - inappropriately - to a category rather than an article. Jellyman (talk) 14:13, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

Navboxes are supposed to aid navigation between articles; this one, however, links to other navboxes containing the squads for individual tournaments. I can sort of see the usefulness of something like this, in a way, but it completely goes against WP:CLNT; also, this template is only used the main article for the team. - Delete I could understand category for all those templates to be in, but it seems a bit strange in this template format. Govvy (talk) 21:01, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Litte or no navigational use: most of the links are to sections of the main club article, to categories or to another navbox template(!). Of the actual other article links, only the one for the stadium is of any value, the remaining ones relating to the club's rivals are just for general articles on those clubs, nothing specific to the rivalries. - Delete If it was done right and Hyde had other articles I would welcome the template, however it's poorly done and as Jellyman has pointed out it has no nav value. Govvy (talk) 21:08, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

this navbox seems to have been the basis of a grand plan which was never implemented.
Currently 45 redlinks, plus 2 blue links which are now redirects after I redirected the only 2 pages which transcluded it: Gaelic football in County Cork (redirected to Cork GAA) and Gaelic football in County Kildare (redirected to Kildare GAA). Both pages were shells which said much less about Gaelic football in those counties than the pages to which they have been redirected . BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 02:50, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- PS the navbox's creator, @EamonnPKeane, has been indef-blocked since Dec 2015[1]. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 02:56, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
