- If my understanding of that intention is correct, I agree with Pppery, I think the same thing could be achieved within the template itself without the need for a Lua module. WaggersTALK 14:14, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

I think the creator of this template was trying to create an infobox instead, but in any case, as he is trying to create a promotional page for his company (Draft:Mikro Mac) and it's entirely in Spanish, the draft is likely to be declined and this template is completely unnecessary and creating a template loop. - Speedy delete per {{Db-test}}. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 00:17, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware that speedy deletion existed for templates, so thank you to TenPoundHammer for alerting me to it - I support the speedy deletion option. As I explained above, the creator appears to have wanted to use {{Infobox company}}, so even in the unlikely event of his article being accepted for creation, this new template will never be used. - Question Looking at how they are used, I wonder how you want to merge them. The former is used to list number of medals for each sport in games (i.e. no rank and nations), and the latter is used to list number of medals a nation got (i.e. with rank and nation). ? Christian75 (talk) 15:35, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Christian75: great question. Below is a quick proof of concept. This is taken from Australia_at_the_Olympics#Medals_by_summer_sport (note that red links are due to {{gamesSport}} using PAGENAME). The only change that would need to be made is to add a

param that would hide the rank row. That is a pretty easy change to make. There are almost definitely other small changes that would need to be made, but I don't see anything that would prevent the two from being merged. You may want to convert Module:Linkless/testcases to a template too. There is an interface for calls from other modules, but I don't think it's used. Certes (talk) 09:07, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
