After decades of terrible video game movies, Hollywood is finally providing some passable productions such as the live-action adaptation of Sega's mascot Sonic the Hedgehog, which along with positive reviews has led the box office for two straight weeks (with the #2 of the weekend being another movie of a man dealing with a computer-generated animal, The Call of the Wild).

Ford v Ferrari won two Oscars, so more people decided to give the movie a chance, and also research on the British driver portrayed in the movie by Christian Bale.
10 Billie Eilish 694.074 Already a big deal enough to present at the Academy Awards (though she wasn't pleased by her performance), the young singer proved the power of her ASMR- like music with her theme song for the next James Bond movie, "No Time to Die", having hit #1 in the UK Charts.

The former governor of Illinois who was impeached for corruption in 2009 and imprisoned three years later, now been pardoned with six years left in his sentence by a president who managed survive a possible impeachment and oversaw "Blago" once.

The type of virus currently causing panic worldwide. The specific strain is now officially Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, officially making the epidemic a new SARS.
13 Ryan Newman (racing driver) 612.508
The last lap of the 2020 Daytona 500 saw the leading racer, 2014 NASCAR runner-up Ryan Newman, get tapped by the car right behind him and suffer an horrific crash. Newman was removed from the wreck and rushed to the hospital, where he is seemingly healthy but still needs rehabilitation.

The Republicans just went for a possible Trump re-election, so the Democrats instead are having a tight race, with #21 as the front-runner.
17 Crash Landing on You 560.687
Korean technology, music, and movies (#3) are en vogue, so why not television too? This K Drama show starring Son Ye-jin as a woman who accidentally crash-lands in North Korea and falls in love with a local soldier had its final episode aired, and managed to become the top trending topic on Twitter.

The first openly gay presidential candidate, a former sailor and mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He got a few delegates in the primaries so far, but our #21 stands in the way.

20 2019–20 Wuhan coronavirus outbreak 544.276
While most of the infected are still in China, the disease also had thousand of cases in South Korea, and hundreds in Italy, Iran and Japan (not counting everywhere else), with over 82 thousand confirmed, 2,811 fatal. If people weren't already worried, sports fans can also hope the outbreak dies down before it can cancel the Olympics.

After losing the Democratic presidential spot to Hillary Clinton in 2016, the Vermont Senator is currently leading the race for the 2020 run.
22 Birds of Prey (2020 film) 522.191
In spite of a positive response, The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn has not lit the box office like many previous superhero movies, which the high content ratings for violence and swearing might have had a hand in - the family-friendly #7 has already made more money even if Birds of Prey had a one week head start.

The previously undefeated World Boxing Council heavyweight champion lost his belt to our #6 when the two boxers finally met again.

The Oscars took the Black Mamba out of the report (even if opened the In Memoriam!) last week, but constant homages to Kobe in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game brought him back.

Finishing it all off, the Netflix show that brought all those Mexican drug dealers into the list.
