Description
[edit]This project should be aimed at keeping track of news that are highly significant for minorities, subcultures or small communities. These events are basically unrepresented in wikipedia's "In the News" section which focuses entirely on elections, sporting events, natural disasters or other instances of mass death. The project be a subproject of the countering the systemic bias project. It would include events such as events affecting for national minorities, subcultures or intellectual communities (including academia, literature, art and music which are not currently given any prioroity at ITN), cultural events outside of the "global mainstream", and certain kinds of "curiousity" items . The project should have as its aim to eventually get a sport of featured content on the mainpage. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 01:05, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion
[edit]I think this would be a great way to counter bias at the article and focus level. Fifelfoo (talk) 01:35, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
