The proposed WikiProject was not created. – Joe (talk) 10:10, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Description
[edit]A WikiProject that would specialize in improving the coverage of Islamic history, starting from the early Rashiduns up until the Ottomans and perhaps the age of colonization in the Muslim world as well. It does not only cover Muslim states and polities, but also notable people, cultural, civilizational aspects and more. The Bestagon ⬡ talk ⬡ contribs 13:00, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- Wikipedia:WikiProject History (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Military History (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
- A new group gives a concentrated space on which all articles can be worked on and improved, rather than articles about Islamic history being dealt with by a number of groups and teams.

Discussion
[edit]- The basic checks for creation appear to be met (hundreds of pages in the History of Islam category alone). I support the creation of this WikiProject, although I worry it won't gain traction. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 19:19, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Similar to elijahpepe@wikipedia, I see no problem, but won't be able to help, and see no interested participants. ExclusiveEditor Notify Me! 16:29, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
