Description
[edit]The Walking Dead is one of the most critically acclaimed and successful television programs. Currently, there are no articles related to the series that are of featured content. Only the pilot episode, "Days Gone Bye", is of good quality; however, there are several articles that are up for nomination (such as "What Lies Ahead" and "Bloodletting"). A well-organized WikiProject should be in the works to expand the articles to satisfactory levels.
This WikiProject will cover all articles related to The Walking Dead—from episodes to the cast members. —DAP388 (talk) 20:07, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion
[edit]- Comment: I am not opposed to the creation of a new WikiProject but I would recommend starting one only if you find a strong group of contributors wishing to collaborate. The Glee WikiProject is successful for this reason. I have started other WikiProjects that became semi-inactive or inactive because there was not enough interest. Keep in mind maintenance of the project might take more time and work than the expansion of the actual articles associated with the project. There are not too many articles to associate with the project, but since the series has been approved for a third season this would likely put at least 50 articles under the Walking Dead project umbrella. Best of luck with the proposal and establishment of the project if it happens! --Another Believer (Talk) 23:32, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - I kinda think that it would be better if there was a Task Force instead of a WikiProject. It would also help if you contact Wikipedia:WikiProject Horror on this discussion. GamerPro64 01:45, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I agree with the above editors -- you're going to need no less than 20 people signing on in order to get the active core of editors needed to maintain the project itself, and that will take energy away from your stated goal of improving the articles. A task force or an article improvement drive will probably be just as successful in helping you recruit the editors you need, without bogging you down with administrivia.--~TPW 16:53, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. I think it would work better as a task force than a separate project. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 04:38, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose
[edit]- Matthewedwards : Chat 05:32, 7 March 2012 (UTC) I don't think there are enough articles to support an entire Project, and looking through the relevant articles it doesn't look like there are enough editors to sustain a project. A taskforce of WP:TV will allow you to utilize the people and standards already in place. Matthewedwards : Chat 05:32, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
