WikiProject Nashik is a project to better organize information in articles related to Nashik. We are a group of Wikipedians committed to improving organisation and standardize look and feel of articles related to the Nashik city of Maharashtra, the geographical regions, its people, art and culture.

Nashik

Nashik (Marathi: नाशिक)(pron:ˈnʌʃɪk) (pronunciationⓘ)(also spelled as Nasik) is a city in western India in the state of Maharashtra. Nashik is located in the north-west of Maharashtra, 171 km (106 mi) from Mumbai and 210 km (130 mi) from Pune and is the administrative headquarters of the Nashik District and Nashik Division. With a population of 1.5 million, Nashik is the 4th largest city in Maharashtra after Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur.Mumbai, Pune and Nashik are known as golden triangle in Maharashtra.

WikiProject Nashik is a collaboration to create, improve, and expand articles related to Nashik, it's history, di-lects, and culture.

Goals

  1. Creation of a generally standard look and feel for all Nashik-related article
  2. To produce as many Featured Articles as possible related to Nashik and Kumbh Mela.
  3. To standardize the Nashik and Kumbh Mela related articles in Wikipedia.
  4. To improve Wikipedia coverage of Nashik related articles by adding, expanding and improving Nashik related articles.
  5. To serve as a central point of discussion for issues related to Nashik related articles.
