How to use:

This is the main template for Wikipedia:WikiProject Turkey. It should be placed on the talk page of all articles that fall within the project scope.

Please help:

Check the New article announcements to find any new articles that fall within the project scope and tag the articles.
Tag any articles that you come across that fall within the project scope.
Assign importance and rating to tagged articles.

Sorting with Turkish characters

Many Turkey related articles are categorized incorrectly due to Turkish characters in Pagename. If any pagename includes Turkish letters it is necessary to use following template in the article, before other templates and categories.

- Where <sortkey>; is pagename but in English alphabet characters; ie; change Ç with C, Ş with S, ğ with g and so on.
- Example: Şırnak article has the template {{DEFAULTSORT:Sirnak}} added.

These are to be placed on the relevant article. When adding these to the article itself, please also update the rating of the article in the talk page, by putting {{WPTR|class=stub}}

Parameters&Usage: {{Districts of Turkey|provname= X |}}
X; name of province-without "province" word- (to be combined as "{{{:provname}}} Turkey Provinces locator.gif" to bring correct map to template. Please check spelling for Turkish characters in Image name) Dp npt worry about the rest of the data template will add it for U.
- Created as a navigational box for provinces. Less parameters is needed, automatically bring map and template name. It can be modified for neighbourhood/villages and municipalities.
